Northanger Abbey may not be Jane Austen’s most famous novel, but a lot of us love this book and hail it as a satiric masterpiece—a funny and pleasant read by a genius who knew very well how to portray human nature through the social life of her world and time and poke fun with subtlety and good-humor at some of its silliness.

I love this book! The resolution shows that Catherine's intuition is correct - while she wasn't right about General Tilney being a Gothic antihero, she was right about him being a dangerous person - a bad character that you encounter not in novels, but in real life.

Northanger Abbey was always my to least favorite of Austen's books and movies. You really gave me a better insight into it and encouraged me to try the book again from a different angle, especially since I am older now. Thank you 😊.

After years of reading this book many times, my eyes were opened to a lot of things that are 'hidden' to modern readers that Austen's readers would have known, and they add so much to the story. The book I read with this information is called "Matters of Fact in Jane AustenL History, Location, and Celebrity" by Janine Barchas. I highly recommend you check it out!

This is my favourite Austen novel 😄 Now, about Henry Tilney 🥰 I'd say his character is just perfect. Sarcastic, eloquent, teasing, moral, pedantic. Nothing too remarkable about his looks. But personally, I'd love to marry a man like Henry because of just how much he loves words 🥰 I have a soft spot for people who like words
