OMG I'm thankful this video even exists because Northanger Abbey is so underrated. That's also my favourite classical novel

You should do a video about the seven "horrid" novels mentioned in Northanger Abbey!

It’s so nice to see a shout-out to Midnight in Austenland. I’d be a happy woman if Shannon Hale expanded that series further.

Northanger Abbey is my favourite! I think they should remake the film, there is already so many versions of Emma, let's have a new Northanger Abbey!

′Northanger Abbey′ helped me understand why some people enjoy genres (such as horror) that I can't wrap my head around.

I personally think a common misconception about Austen is that she wrote romance novels; it seems to me she was constantly challenging herself as a writer by attempting different genres with each book.

Because that's what I think, I'd be really interested to hear about what genre you think P&P is! (And the other five novels. Particularly, is one of the others a romance novel, do you think?)

So, I had to read Castle of Otranto before reading Northanger Abbey in my class, and I'm so glad! I appreciated Northanger Abbey so much more; it was hilarious! I am very curious about the Pembrooke Park one. Thanks for the recs!

I love that adaptation of Northanger Abbey! I have also read And Only to Deceive and it was great. My friend has read the whole series and she loved it.

Ooo I just started reading Julie Klassen. It seems like most of her books have some sort of mystery. So far I've read the Girl in the Gatehouse and the Silent Governess. I loved both of them! Very well written and as you mentioned great character development.

Yay for JJ Field. I loved him on the Austenland movie too! I've read the first one and it was fun, but I was also upset for Jane always hesitating and being ashamed of living the Regency dream. Have not read the second book and now I'm curious. Love your videos!

First time I read Northanger Abbey, I didn't get it at all. But after rereading as an adult, it is one of my favourites.

I'm surprised there wasn't a shoutout for 'The Mysteries of Udolpho' since it was featured to prominently in 'Northanger Abbey.'
