I guess Hyppolyta forgot to tell Diana that Zeus overthrew his father, Cronos, and Cronos overthrew his father before that. Ares was just carrying on a family tradition.

The look on Hyppolita when little Diana asked about God killer was priceless, knowing her own daughter is the last weapon against Ares, God of War.

Ironic how DC usually depicts Ares as an antagonist to the Amazons. In the actual mythology, it was Ares who fathered the Amazons and they even worshiped him as one of their patron deities.

Watching Zeus, Aries and Poseidon fighting Darkseid in Zack Snyder’s JL was a thing of beauty.. it was so epic as well!!

I know its a comic book movie but Ares killing all the Olympians is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. Its hard to buy it when you know that in the original Greek mythology Ares might be the god of war but he gets he ass casually handed to him by Athena or Apollo or someone else....let alone Zeus, who was said to be stronger than all the other gods combined.

My only problem with the story: Ares never bested Athena. He couldn't. Every time the two confronted, Athena came out victorious.

Still, love the visuals.
