I've travelled to almost all parts of India. Major difference - in northern, eastern and some western parts of India cities keep growing, villages remains the same, a small portion of people controls the money, politics and people. In Southern parts cities keep growing but there is huge development in rural areas too.
Main parameter for growth in southern part is literacy. In this generation internet penetration acts as a catalyst for development in southern parts. I'm from Kerala I'm proud to say every village in Kerala is well developed right from schools, hospitals, electricity, water, hygiene you name it they have it. This is not the case in other parts of the country. Even though I'm proud of my state's achievements I'm not happy as my country is still suffering due to dirty politic and greed of few. We will transform India one day hope all my fellow Indians forget the religious, caste, colour, political and geographical bias to unite as one and fight the real evil. Jai Hind!

1 simple reason:
Tamil Nadu and kerala's hardcore ideology is " SOCIAL JUSTICE"
Kudos to PERIYAR EVR and SREE NARAYANA GURU.
During 1960 's TN was as poor as Bihar.(2nd poorest state)
Now TN is 2nd richest state.
Great journey from 2nd poorest to 2nd richest economy.
