North India vs. South India (Two Different Worlds)

On my last trip to India, I visited only the North and that's what I thought all of India was like.

This trip, I did only the South and it's completely opposite from the North in every way imaginable!

The best way to think about India is like Europe. When you move from one Indian state to the next -- the culture, cuisine, language and weather all change in the same way that you'd experience by hopping European countries.

Have you ever been to India? What do you think are the biggest differences between the North and the South? Please share your thoughts below!

I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

Many of the northies don't accept...but it's the South India which is protecting our ancient Indian culture. I am from Andhra Pradesh ❤️ There may be big and beautiful monuments in North India but u can't see our tradition. I am happy and proud to be in South. Don't know why I am having zero impression on North maybe the type of films they produce!

I am from Tamil Nadu in India it is very beautiful to go to. I would recommend Kodaikanal as it has very beautiful waterfalls and lakes and as well as greenery. I am proud to be South Indian and from India. Also I would like to recommendation you could try to go to Mysore, Karnataka (in South India) it has historical monuments, gardens, also Mysuru Zoo (which is one of the best zoos in Asia and very large lol :) )

I'm from West Bengal and tbh it's soo true that South India and North eastern*which idk y ppl ignore * is the way better place than the northern middle India. And as a Bengali I am really thankful to the Assamese, Tamils and Oriyas for preserving our culture and heritage and keeping this sacred land clean and healthy for every living being.
