Main difference is between People's Mentality....North Indian people always liked to focus on other issue than any development

South India is more developed because most of the people here give vote based on the work done... not because of religion/caste

Main reason is education.
In South india, girls are given proper education and they are encouraged to work and earn money. More income for family means high standard of living South india.
In north india, girls are not given proper education, even if they get education they are discouraged from going to work. Less family income means low standard of living.

as an Indian and Maharastrian.. we have lot diversity & languages in all people here doing businesses and jobs we don't do like south north everyone is welcome here that's why we're No. 1 GDP in our country either I can see north is also developing .. including north we all don't have ego language..

Tamilians, Kannadigas, Malyali, Telagu people doesn't like divisive politics & help each other irrespective of religion & caste... Proud of their language, culture & education... Well educated cum Respectful of each other... look at the superstars of south...how humble, simple, loving, caring...they talk politely & never support communalism... Late Rajkumarji & his family of Kannada, Rajnikanthji & Kamala Hasan in Tamil, similarly in Kerala and Andhra Telangana...

South India is rich because of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj🚩🙏. Because Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj did not allow any invader to enter South India. So the temples and culture of South India are still the same

1st and last points valid hai aur ek point government jobs k chakkar mein north side k logon apne kaam ko kabhi seriously nahi liya iski wajah se waha ki education system bahut e kharab hai, jiske karan north side mein on paper degrees toh hai but quality education and qualified log nahi nikal rahe hai jinse ki waha development hone mein bahut problem hota hai

Now UP is doing well economically. Investors are showing confidence and law and order is coming on track. People from outside UP might think that Only hindutva agenda is working in UP, but it is not. Lots of development projects are going on here. State medical colleges to expressways and highways, every thing is going on with good pace. Unlike modi, Yogi is carrying economics and culture together.
