I love how Vader lets his hatred seethe. Bubbling up inside him, giving more fuel for his power. He knows that finding Obi-Wan is critical, however he also knows that as a sith, he needs an obsession, am ambition to reignite his hatred.

And Ben is an unlimited supply of obsession.

This scene is so fucked up man. Imagine that young boy you met so many years ago, whom you raised into teen and then into a man...come at you in this suit, wanted nothing more than to murder you. I bet Obi Wan has had nightmares of their fight before, but now he has to face his demon and it's worse than he imagined...

“Now you will suffer Obi-Wan”. What Anakin did to Obi-Wan was revenge for Mustafar. Absolute horrible torture move by Darth. That wasn’t Anakin doing it, it was Darth. He wanted Obi-Wan to feel that pain Anakin felt when he was burnt by the lava.

The best moments in this whole show were those between Obi and Vader, they made Vader so menacing and vengeful, was perfect!

This series was so underrated imo. It did such a good job of capturing the multitude of emotions that both would have felt towards each other that adds so much to the arc they share in their relationship. It’s so essential to the stories of both of them together and independently. There’s so much poetry throughout the movies between them. Anakin dragging obi through the coals in an eye for an eye fashion. Seeing how Anakins love for obi wan slowly became an enmity that would change the galaxy. Obi wan protecting and raising Luke’s son, giving him anakins lightsaber… his love for snaking shaping Luke’s love for him that lead him to destroy the emperor and bring balance to the force through Luke. Luke’s fighting style and force mastery not only being inherited but almost mimicked from Vader’s… the last fight In this series with obi’s apology, and Vader being the catalyst In his own arc of making peace and letting his force powers return In full. So much I can’t even say it all. God I love this series so much

More than the lack of practice of the Force and the saber, we feel that it is the psychological locks that hinder Obi-Wan. Pain, regrets, feelings of guilt, fear of failing to protect Padmé's children... I like this extreme weakness which is very understandable. And I also like that what we see explains why Obi-Wan was sure Anakin couldn't come back: Vader is a bloodthirsty piece of shit here.

Out of all the lines from Star Wars Darth Vader telling Obi-Wan "I am what you made me" is the one that sent chills the first time i heard it. The last time he saw Anakin, he thought that was it. So to see that not only is he alive but know in a sense trap in that suit, you can see all the guilt when Darth tells him that.

And how Vader put the fire out force pushing Obi away, but when the sniper relit the fire with a shot Vader just stood there and helplessly watched a droid carry Obi away then turned and left. Obi-wan was renowned in the Clone Wars for mastering Soresu, the most defensive of the lightsaber forms. It helped survive against Dooku, Ventress, Maul, and Opress, and triumph over Grievous and Anakin himself.

And now he’s so terrified and wracked with uncertainty he’s barely able to offer a defense against Vader. It really shows how much the fall of the Republic and Order broke the Negotiator.
