The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is directed by Deborah Chow and executive-produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Deborah Chow, Ewan McGregor and Joby Harold

When they played Duel of The Fates I got chills. What a fantastic trailer!

"Which theme should we use for the trailer?"

Yes.

Finally, a kenobi trailer that isn't click-bait fanmade

If there's ONE thing I took away from the series, it's that I'm relieved to see more people acknowledging Hayden Christensen's acting. Yes, it was awkward in Attack of the Clones, but he was really solid in Revenge of the Sith and absolutely crushed it in this series.

So many musical references! Chimes that play when Obi Wan says "Hello There" in episode 4, Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, Anakin's Dark Deeds, and Force theme... John Williams back again... What a time to be a Star Wars fan!

I am so incredibly happy to see Ewan Mcgregor back as Obi-wan, I grew up with the prequels so seeing him and (eventually seeing) Hayden Christiansen back will be AMAZING!!!

The cool thing about this is that Ewan has aged perfectly for the role in this part of Kenobis life so it still works

The Inquisitors hunting Obi Wan actually makes a lot of sense, I’m glad this is the direction the show is taking

The transition from “Battle of the Heroes” to “Duel of the Fates” then back to the first was absolutely beautiful

You were the chosen one, Kenobi-show. You were to destroy the bad shows, not join them.

I can't believe they're bringing back all the classics from my childhood: Picard, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ghostbusters, The Soviet Union.

Don't mind me, just coming back here for the epic music that is missing from the series so far (ESPECIALLY that "Battle of the Heroes" re-touched bit)

there’s gonna be a “So uncivilized.” moment at least once if that was Kenobi holding the blaster.

Okay Star Wars you win this one, but you're making a promise to use Duel of the Fates in the series that you better keep

Whether the series is good or bad, just seeing Ewan in the Obi-Wan get up again and hearing the music gave me goosebumps. Also you can't go wrong with Vader at the end!

Whoever directed or scored this trailer deserves to direct/score a Star Wars movie. The music in the beginning perfectly captures the build up of slowly rising hope, starting with Obi Wan in the desert to seeing young Luke. After we see Luke, there's a moment's pause in the music to let us really feel that hope swell, just before crushing it mercilessly with that haunting chorus from Duel of the Fates. So much meaning in just putting 2 pieces of music next to each other, and that's just in the music of a trailer. This is how it's done. This is the right way to use music to grab onto the emotions of viewers. Bravo!
