I grew up in the 1950's eating and then learning how to make this pie. We called it Karo Nut Pie back then. Because we lived in the hills (Ozark Mountains) we had black walnuts much more often than pecans, and the walnuts were even better in the pie.

We followed your instructions to the tee we didn't put flour and they came out super delicious and easy to make We baked 3 with my granddaughter family was very satisfied on Thanksgiving day
