Haunting video of Glen Campbell playing guitar during his final days at an Alzheimer's facility has resurfaced. The video was taken by his daughter, Debby, and given to Inside Edition in 2014 because she wanted the world to know that despite his illness, her dad still had his musical talent, even if he couldn't remember all the lyrics to his classic songs. In the video, he runs his fingers up and down the guitar's fret board as skillfully as he had on stage. #InsideEdition

Too bad this woman wouldn't shut up long enough for us to hear Glen play.

Shouldn’t a producer at some point have said, “Hey, this story is about Glen Campbell playing the guitar in his final days...maybe you should shut the hell up for about :60 and let viewers hear Glen Campbell playing the guitar in his final days”

Until the very end, Alzheimer’s could not steal Glen Campbell‘s great guitar talent. May Glen rest in peace.

I wish the narrator would've shut UP, so we could hear Glen Play!

Hear narrator talk over Glen Cambells final guitar tunes. Reporters think it's all about themselves so they can't shut up.

One of the most overlooked guitarist today.  Even Alzheimer disease could not steal that talent.  One of the great ones.  RIP

well instead of talking the whole damned time it would've been nice to actually hear him play in the video. you know, we all don't need narration all the time. i think intelligent people can put it together.

I love this He loved what he did and even up to the end, he didn't let Alzheimer's get in the way of his daily life. He sang and played as long as he could hold out. He certainly has my eternal respect. He's a true person all over.

Sadly, this moment was erased from us by some self centered narrator who could not keep her pie whole shut while Mr Campbell played his final song. May you rest in peace Mr Glen Campbell. God love you for all you offered your fans.

The footage taken in 2014 above was far, far different than the reality of the last few years Glen spent on this earth. In this last year, he could no longer play guitar, formulate tangible sentences or connect in a meaningful way with his family. Alzheimers truly is the long goodbye and Alice Cooper put it so beautifully this week when asked about Glen's passing. He said it was "a relief" for Glen and his family that this cruel disease could no longer ravage his life. We know where he is; he is home now....and free.

This is the worst commentary. They talk over him playing and that’s all we really want to see

I can imagine his DNA would look like musical notes. Hats off to an amazing guitar prodigy and greatest, most recognizable voices of all time.

Merle Haggard, the greatest singer/song writer country music has ever known, was quoted as saying that Glen Campbell was the greatest musician he'd ever heard play any instrument....that's high praise, and it's well deserved....

Music is amazing. I sang in a barbershop quartet for years and we performed often at rest homes. There would be people bedridden just staring blankly at the ceiling and who didn't know their own names yet when we would start singing songs of their youth their eyes would light up, smiling from ear to ear and they would make definite eye contact. And some of them who hadn't spoke intelligible words for months or even years would start singing along and hardly missing a lyric. And even though some of them had been very difficult and combative residents with the staff pretty much all of them wanted to hug us and some would beg us not to leave them. That was difficult but I've always liked old folks anyway so got a particularly special joy from those experiences.

Poor Glen. We need to help the elderly with this awful disease. My poor grandmother had that. We all will age. And it’s a horrid disease.

Never will another entertainer be as diverse or who brings so much to the music industry as Glen Campbell. I love anything he ever wrote or sang. Who knew he played bagpipes perfectly too? What a legacy this man leaves behind. If you disagree with me then make sure that you do your homework and look up Glen Campbell's life. You will be very surprised.
