Man, I am sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks, watching an immortal genius with his lone instrument, holding his own with a hundred highly trained symphony musicians armed with sheet music and stands, and not one of them could touch him if they tried, nor even all of them together. Nothing and nobody can hold a candle to the immortal Glen Campbell.

No one ever says "WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY AWESOME PIECE OF MUSIC"
Mason Williams is an all time legend for this one damned thing.

I'm a bit ashamed of myself. I listened to Glen through the 60's and 70's enjoying his voice and lyrics, but it's only in recent years I became aware of Glen's full talent as a brilliant guitarist. You were the full package Mr Campbell !!

Few realize how talented Glen Campbell really was. Rest peacefully, mighty guitar man.

Every time I watch this I’m speechless. So obvious that he was enjoying it so much. Love that he turned to the orchestra and acknowledged them. A true gentleman and one of a kind musician. We lost a legend when he passed. Love you Glen😥💕

Glen Campbell was one of the best guitarists in the world. He never strained and was always relaxed when he played (like Pavarotti when he sang). The orchestra absolutely rocks, which Glen was clearly impressed with. They bring in another level of emotion, and I can't imagine this song without them.

An absolute genius on the guitar. I've been playing guitar for 40 + years, and cannot come close to this man's talent. You are sorely missed, Glenn.

I was the Production Mgr for a metropolitan orchestra in the 90's, and Mr. Campbell was one of our guests for a weekend Pops concert. An hour before curtain, I went down to check on him, and he was in his dress shirt and boxers, just casually ironing his own pants. We had a nice conversation about life music and touring. He was as polite, and genuine a human being as you could ever want to meet. I met a lot of artists in those years, but I think Glen Campell was one of the nicest I was ever lucky enough to meet. Godspeed Sir.

They say his music was the last ability he had. Such is the power of music in the heart of a master musician. I HATE alzheimer's disease!

From what I understand, Campbell was part of the "Wrecking Crew" studio musicians. He couldn't read a lick of sheet music but picked up every nuance in one take.
An underappreciated American legend in his work and his character.

This is by far the best rendition of Classical Gas ever made. Thank you Glen Campbell, God bless
