Say what you will about being a fan of Glen, but no one can ever deny the man had PERFECT PITCH, not to mention being a guitar genius. RIP Glen.

Decades of playing Wichita Lineman and it still has that feeling of being fresh.

Love how when he starts playing the solo and you're expecting a country solo, but instead he totally shreds it. Absolute legend

It’s so rare that a song can actually reach down inside me and trigger emotions that aren’t triggered any other way. RIP Glen

I'm an old hippie freak I'm 70 years old, I loved my rock and roll and still do.
But there aint a person alive that likes music that can deny the fact that Glenn Campbell was a star.
His guitar playing was mesmerizing and his voice was great.
I hope you rest in peace✌️✌️✌️

How fitting that one of Glen's latter performances (enduring his 'condition') of this iconic song, features a sublime vocal and imo, his best solo guitar fill EVER for this tune...this takes into account the dozens & dozens of Glen's renditions over the years. Just incredible!

I just physically applauded a 15 year old video! Beautiful rendition of one of the finest songs ever written.

Glen was not a Country musician, he was an Incredible, COMPLETE Musician. As a member of the Wrecking Crew, he could, and did play everything. I had the pleasure of meeting him briefly many years ago, and what a kind and humble man.
So glad there are countless recordings of his performances for generations to enjoy.
Glen, Rest In Peace.

"And I need you more than want you... And I want you for all time..." I have loved those lines since 1973 and it's 2024... So much has happened... Glen passed in 2017 but I just imagine he's still singing and playing the guitar... May he rest in peace

Honestly think I may like this better than the original; the tone of the song better matches an older, weathered man, and Glen embodies it like the master he is. He relaxes and slips into the rhythm of the character like an old denim jacket. And even if he's played it 10, 000 times, it still sounds new.

Glen Campbell's mastery of the guitar was simply stunning. He was so under-rated. His voice stayed strong until he had to stop performing due to illness. I grew up during the height of Glen Campbell's career, in the 1960's and 1970's, and I loved hearing his songs on the radio.

That solo he plays is incredible. So tasteful. It compliments the melody but takes it elsewhere yet fits so beautifully.

Still giving him an audience in 2022. Simply a music legend of his time. RIP Glen Campbell.
