I remember seeing this picture of Matthew a few hours before the updated forecast showed it making a direct landfall where my house is in SC. It doesn’t matter how many years ago Matthew was, I still remember the absolute shock of seeing it’s destructive aftermath - I could barely even recognize some parts of my hometown, and a good amount of people either lost their homes or had some serious damage
