Thanks for the great information! If an exclusive contract with an agency is *not* what one is seeking, it could be helpful to consider agency representation in several major markets, both nationally and internationally. Thanks to technology such as Source Connect, VO artists are far less constrained by geographic boundaries then in prior years. My dream scenario would be agents in NYC, Chicago, LA, London, Paris, and Berlin for greater access to the clients that they serve. And if I live long enough, and keep working at my art, I do believe that I can make that happen. OK, I admit it - I like to dream big. 😊

Gary, thank you for your simple, easy to grasp explanations of things I never knew in doing VO. I just narrated one of my novels, "Dawn's Revenge, " and am submitting it to ACX. I could use any tip you may have regarding how I can enhance my chances of getting published and marketed. This novel has been on Amazon for years and has raves from two Louisiana governors, and all who read it. (It is a thriller set in the New Orleans French Quarter where I practiced law back in the day---I am 88). It has been approved by the little ACX test that ACX requires, and now I am trying to figure out how to grease the track into acceptance and publication, then I will narrate my other novels. Thanks again for clarity and your friendly approach to this tricky subject.
