DJI RC Pro Working with DJI Air 2S!? | Combo Package Purchased!

Hey everyone! In this quick news update, Sean brings you an update on the DJI RC Pro compatibility issue and what seems to be a paired and working DJI Air 2S with the second generation smart controller from DJI. With exclusive pictures and video sent in by viewer Bryan Kim it also appears DJI are offering the two devices together in a combo pack in certain territories. Rc pro works on my air 2s perfectly and hopefully in future updates it will also work with other dji drones since i also have a mini 2🤟🏻

It’s a chip shortage thing. I spoke with Ivan at DJI. He told me that due to chip shortage some Air2S will come the RC pro and not just smart controller. If you can find it jump on it. I got mine at B&H

That is great news, thanks Sean. I’m patiently waiting for January to revisit the idea of purchasing the Mavic 3. If I decide to invest in the M3, I will get it with the new smart controller since I already have the Air 2s.

I just got my RC PRO and charged it. It stopped charging and I tapped the power to see the battery power and I'm getting max 3 green lights and it's turned off. Any idea why?

I just talked to someone who bought the Air 2 S combo with the RC pro from an American distributor. Hopefully an update will unlock it for all of us that have the Air 2s and the Mavic3 with the RC pro.

Does anyone know how to download apps from the playstore on to this RC PRO? Trying to get UAV on but no luck at all, the remote won't allow it.

Thank you Brian. I finally actually read my manual for my new Air2s, and discovered something. Maybe it's one of those secrets that everyone knows but
The Air 2s uses Ocusync 3, but the stock controller uses Ocusync 2! I think they just used the stock controller from the original Air 2. Am I wrong on this?
The RC Pro uses Ocusync 3, so common sense says that having both controller and drone using the same updated technology would give the best range and penetration.

I just received this combo after ordering on Amazon a few days ago. I originally thought I’d was the old smart controller but it’s in fact the RC Pro controller.

I will buy the controller but not until it works with the mini 2 air 2and air 2s as well as my m3 because that way I can take all drones on a day out and not worrying about keep changing my phone to each device which is a pain sometimes so please bring this out for all dji when you update the m3 ut would be great. I've seen some mentions that the RC Pro controller that comes with the AIr2S combo only works with the AIR2S. Not the Mavic 3. The AIR2S combo with RC Pro controller is only $450 USD more than the regular combo. The RC Pro controller for the Mavic 3 is $1, 199 USD by itself. The Mavic 3 RC Pro is labeled as Occusync 3+. DJI could probably make them work with other drones if they wanted to.
