As a native english speaker, pleased usually signifies a lower lever of happiness than glad.

You should also talk about Euphoric. Which is a completely different word for happy, but means a very specific version of happiness that’s not based upon happiness attained through emotion usually but through chemicals in your brain that make you feel Happy and Euphoric

I find that reading English articles is of great help to improve my English. Synonyms or antonyms of certain words would appear in the same story, and I would use Immersive Translate to look up their meanings and remember them. Gradually, my English vocabulary reserve has been improved, at the same time, my English level has also improved.
