I'm Brazilian so English is my second language. I had an English teacher once who told me that I was great speaking the language based on how well I sang the Taylor Swift song she'd brought to class. I scored 100% in the test and noticed how many songs from Folklore and Evermore you put in the video and I loved it because those albums are my favs from Taylor.

English is not my first language but it was taught in school. I started listening to her when i was in 6th grade and when i tell you my english grades skyrocketed and i became every english teacher's favourite person because I always incorporated her writing style in my assignments. And somewhere around that time i picked up love for writing as well. Now I'm in creative writing team of my college (that's the closest i could get to keep in touch with that hobby bcoz my parents refused to let me major in anything other than engineering lmao)

Every time someone would ask me "how is your english so good?" I just went like "Taylor Swift" but they didn't take me seriously because we have a prejudice here that western music is only about partying and stuff with no meaning and even i used to believe that before i got to know her. And although i do not listen to western music anymore she's the only one i still keep up with.

Bottom line is, you should totally listen to her to improve your english way more helpful and fun than textbook lessons

a few people have asked me in the past how I learned english, and I still cannot stress enough that listening music and watching vlogs, tutorials, series, etc is the best way to learn... you learn without even realizing it, I especially love Taylor's music so much <3

After the earthquake I thought everything in this life is pointless so I had stopped improving my English. I even forgot most of the things I knew. I just wanted to see my English again and made lots of mistakes. But oppositely this video motivated me to go on. Showed me that still there's a lot to learn and learning is an experience we will keep doing even in our own death moment. Tomorrow I'll be here again. That was the perfect format for an educational video. It's a bit hard to track answers when it's a test. But providing challenges before showing subtitles should be good practice for all videos.
