comparing seinen to shounen and saying one is superior over the other is idiotic as hell. in the end its just a target demographic. k-on is seinen. devilman is a shounen (kind of moved onto a seinen magazine later). to say that seinen is objectively better is outright moronic. to say that shounen is better than seinen is also stupid.

Neither is strictly better than the other, and Shounen isn’t necessarily childish either. Seinen just tends to have more complex topics and diverse stylistic choices. Shounens are just easier to slot into a genre.
