Cornstarch?! That's outrageous!!! The Superman incident could have definitely been avoided.

I’m sorry but the double amputee guy was his own fault as not just the workers but several witnesses stated he was threatening them with his status as a veteran to let him ride. He KNEW the risks yet still forced his way on just because he was a veteran.

It’s infuriating that anyone would think it isn’t his own fault for forcing his way onto a ride in his condition. Especially since the workers told him to leave the ride due to his condition as an amputee.

36:15 i read that the reason why the operators were not charged for letting him ride despite not following the legs requirement was because, according to witnesses, he used his veteran status to intimidate the staff into letting him ride. The staff initially refused to let him ride and was trying to redirect him to the exit, but he insisted using the "stfu and just thank me for my service" card. The witnesses were speculating the staff wasn't charged because it would cast a less-than-ideal light towards his image if it came out that he bullied staff into letting him ride the ride that led to his death.

26:51 wildly insensitive, that's how you get people to do the opposite of what you ask. YT's "don't recommend channel" feature comes in handy after all.

Fun Fact: Action Park was often refered to as "Class-Action Park" by the courts due to the amount of deaths and cases there.
Which is what gave the 2020 documentary about the park its name.

I was always against Sea World as a kid but hearing about the Killer Whale incident, I instantly became an animal advocate and would educate everyone about Sea World and the conditions that they put all their animals through. It's so horrible

"She lost both feet and broke a bone but avoided serious injury when the cable slipped off her neck just in time"

No she avoided death when the cable slipped of her neck and she WAS seriously injured.
Missing both feet and a severed femur ain't a papercut.

Why am I not surprised that a Disney park covered up a horrible "Accident"? Several to be exact.

26:52 Yea saying that right after announcing his death was really distasteful.

26:50 Abyssal did this really cool thing where he told a story about a child's long and painful journey to death, only to plea for your subscription as a punchline

I know for a fact when I watch these videos that schlitterbahn will be mentioned, but man it gets me EVERY TIME. Me and my family had gone there just days before the incident happened, and it gives me chills to this day. My mom, brother, and sister rode the slide, but I refused to because I had a terrible feeling about it. Still absolutely wild to me years later.

hey so real quick correction about the Smiler crash here!! The cause of the wreck was a bit more complicated than explained in this video.
it was an extremely busy day, and VERY very windy. windy enough that the ride shouldn't have been operating at all, but Alton Towers essentially didn't want to lose the revenue the ride gave them by closing it for the day. all was well at first, but at one point a group of 16 filled up the next cart, and instead of immediately moving the cart sat still. after a couple minutes workers asked the parkgoers to exit the cart and return to the front of the lines. they sent out the fifth cart as a test, and due to the wind, the cart was unable to complete a loop on the ride, and simply rolled back down and sat at the bottom of the loop. the workers saw the alert on the system and basically ignored it, they didn't even wait for the test cart to return (that just makes me so mad why send a test if ur not gonna let it finish oh my god). 14 of the 16 guests that were asked to go back to the lines were allowed to enter a new cart, two decided they didn't want to wait the 30 minutes of "maintenance". the ride has a failsafe that doesn't let two carts be on the same area of track at once, this is so that carts don't get too close to one another (ironic huh). so, upon the cart full of riders entering the same track area as the stranded test cart, the failsafe kicked in. the brakes on the moving cart were instantly applied, but it was too late. the moving cart crashed into the stuck one, and they actually "bounced" off of one another a couple times before both carts finally sat still against each other at the bottom of the loop.
this accident makes me so irrationally angry, if the workers had just waited for the test cart to come back, if they hadn't overrid the safety alarm, hell if they didn't run the ride while it wasn't meant to be operating at all none of this would've happened. two girls (sat in the front row) each lost a leg and had their lives changed forever all due to negligence. the fact none of the riders dies is honestly a miracle, one of the girls lost so much blood she had to have a blood transfusion while sitting there stuck in the cart.

You just made me remember something that happened at six flags. Great adventure in New Jersey in the '90s... Young girl was on freefall, as it dropped it caught her hair in the mechanism and scalped her. .. I don't know what happened after that because it was buried.

It makes you realize just how little value human lives hold when a person is brutally killed on an amusement park ride, blood and guts on rail and cement, and it just gets washed off and the rides keep going and the park stays open. No one cares and the only complaints are for any minor delays caused.
