Back when I was in auto school we had guys from valvoline come in and grade us on oil changes and asked us as many questions as possible about filters and oil so we could get certified and “licensed” in oil changes seems a bit excessive but the guys did have ONE good point. They said if you see oil without that “donut” circle of approval DONT use it. I didn’t think cheap oil could sneak through without that seal of approval but I’ve noticed multiple brands at gas stations and part stores without it

I used to work for Valvoline and until I bought a 2017 Mitsubishi I preferred it for all of my cars. However when the new specs came out and Castrol met the standards before they were released, I switched to using Castrol 0W-20 and 5W-20 in my new Mitsubishi. I'll have to check the specs and MSDS for the Amazon product, but so far from what you and Project Farm have done, I'm thinking I'll give it a try.

Perfect video. Was considering this for my 2014 Ford Fiesta. Casually found you with the same car. Seemed sketchy because it’s oil from Amazon but maybe it’s pretty good after the refused.

I always use motor oil in my AR-15. Why? It stays lubricated. A lot of the spray on stuff evaporates off.

I got a 6 quart box of Havoline Pro DS fully synthetic motor oil for 21.53. The box is like a wine box. The oil is inside a plastic bag inside a box with a pop up spout.

Hey BC. Just for grins do you have a strong magnet there in the bunker you can pour that oil
sample over just to see if you have any metal particulates in it?


I recently got my flip up iron sights in the mail for my new AR-Carbine Rifle project. I also bought a 20mm short picatinny rail riser
to put under my $19.99 Field Sport Red Dot Sight. So now i do not need to use the bolt on AR carry handle.
I can also co witness exactly my iron sights through the glass tube of my red dot.


I got to the range late and only had about 2 hours to shoot. My new Bear creek arsenal 16" barrel which i bought at Primary Arms for $44.00
worked just great. I sighted in at 25 meters because with my eyes I have a hard time shooting much further with just my Mark I Eyeball.
The final group I shot was 10 rounds and 7 out of 10 I could cover with a quarter. Three shots are virtually in the same hole.


Would it be ok to send link to photobucket to show you a pic of the completed Carbine? I know it is not cool to send links to commercial sights.
I am NOT gonna go nuts mounting stuff to my 10" Free Float handguard haha. I just have a Flashlight mount and my Flip Up iron ( aluminum ) sights.
OK, I do have on order a m-lok QD mount for my sling. But that's it.

MACTFORDEDGE has a video on this oil with Blackstone analysis of both used and unused samples. This oil isn't impressive in the least. I wouldn't even call it average. For the same or less money I'll take Castrol Edge, Pennzoil Platinum, or Valvoline Full Synthetic over this oil any day.

supertech is the same oil and is available at walmart.
this is way to expensive. and you have to ship it.

both are made by warren. the supertech is just cheaper and more convenient and has been around longer.

Hey deuce ive got a question about a Marlin model 60. What is the size of the dove tail on one. I want to buy one and mount a scope on it. Its used and about 15 years old but its in great condition. I've got to wait until income tax to get it though!

Plenty of videos out on testing this stuff and it all looks good. Someone is making it for them and it's good as mobil, valv, penz etc. If it's cheaper for you than what you use buy it it's good. Now if they change vendors ie who's making it for them we may not know so for now have at it
