Do you know what will help my corn out

Best impact sprinkler video on YouTube! Not only did you help me turbocharge my sprinkler, you also helped me understand how to take it apart and figure out WTF was wrong with one that was sitting in my scrap metal pile! Thanks!

Those sprinklers have the ability to rotate 360 without taking the guides off, just flip up the L-shaped tab on the back of the sprinkler. You can also dictate if you want the spray interrupted or not by moving the triangle metal plate from one side to the other.

Nice trick with the reducer removal, BTW.

Hey, just a general comment, not trying to say you're doing anything wrong because I love what you've presented. I agree that the well can pump up 500 ft outa the ground and then comparatively the rise above ground of the hose height is not a major concern, but to further that idea, I have found that if you want max flow (and resulting pressure) above ground, you need to pay attention to your hose diameter size. Let me say it a little differently.... If you have too small a hose/pipe diameter, it will amazingly limit your flow downstream even if you greatly increase the pressure back at the supply. It is much better to have a large delivery pipe and lower pressure loss than to try and "cram" more water using high pressure. So if you have a long run to get to your garden and you have a lot of heads or a big flow requirement, the first place you need to address is the pipe/hose diameter making the long run to the delivery site. This is why I always pay extra for 3/4" hoses (and some applications 1" hoses) instead of the very common 5/8" hoses. You get a lot more water delivery. Also, when I built my sprinkler system, I ran a big 2" distribution pipe east/west from the well, and then the sprinkler laterals with 10 heads each ran north/south being supplied off the distribution pipe at regular intervals. A little hydro dynamics. Just

You may want to try allowing the reverse function. Set it for 360 but have it oscillate clockwise then counter. That return gives more water closer in so you get better water distribution. Nice tip on the restrictors!

Thanks, I'm a produce grower and mostly use drip irrigation. But added few
acres of melons and I'm using exactly what you're using.. I'm not sure how many sprinklers I have, but they are not doing squat... and I have BIG diesel pumps. They are pulling water from irrigation ponds with enough pressure I can blow water hose out of I crank them up.... I went down to that field 9:30 PM after watching this video !!! Thank you !!!! You my hero !!!! Lol.. Seriously.. Thank you.

I took the guts out of mine because it wasn't working that good and now it works so much better. Thank you for sharing. 👍

N
We have used the same sprinklers for decades. They are durable and work great. Those parts are not "government mandated". The city home can have from 40 to 70 PSI water pressure. With the governors removed the sprinkler would blow apart in a yard at a city home. In your case the pressure is much less from the well. Especialy if you dont have a pressure reserve tank. Removing the governors makes sense and works great. Glad you found those.

You are awesome. This worked for my 2 sprinklers and our garden. A plastic restrictor in the stream. Thank you!!

This is great Josh. Sadly, I am one of those guys who bought one of those expensive ones thinking that it would do a great job. NOT! I can spit further. I just went out to do what you just showed and all the parts are molded plastic and in a single unit restricting the flow and nothing comes apart. I am going to have to get one that I can open up. I am glad you showed this. We live and learn. Thanks and have a great day!

I didn’t have this problem, but the water would just come out a a trickel, so opened up the small brass nob and sure enough it was clogged. Unclogged it and it works just great. Thanks for the info.

WOW! I removed the restrictor behind the brass nozzle and that alone made a huge difference. Thanks for the suggestion.

Josh, I absolutely love the background scenery of your videos!! Your farm is absolutely gorgeous! It really shows all the hard work you and Mrs Stoney Ridge have put into the place!!

Thanks for the info. I didn't know they had the restrictions inside. You might consider tying or taping up your hoses to the T-posts to get the weight of your hoses off the sprinkler. In your video you can just see the hose is bent into a 90 almost cutting your water off that way as well. I had to do the same thing with some upright roll around sprinklers I have. Helped a lot. Good video!

Oh man you are a life saver! Thank you so much!!! Our sprinkler was “broken” and my mom threw it away but I fixed it and it made her so happy, thank you man, so much!!!

Excellent... I bought a pair of sprinklers very similar from Lowe's hardware got them six feet apart and they wouldn't even wet the ground under them... just today got a new water main into our house built in 1954 with a pressure regulator installed and hooked them up... both of them are slinging water like crazy... tomorrow I'm going to take the restrictors out... thanks man good luck on your farm!!!

I have never commented on ANY YouTube video, but you should have your own TV show! Funny, entertaining and informative.
