We are planning a first time trip to Portugal to check it out. It's gorgeous along the coast. Very low crime and cost of living is low. Healthcare in America is darwinian. We pay over twice what most of the industrialized world does for healthcare yet with lower life expectancies. For sure, countries with Universal healthcare pay more in taxes but of course very low premiums more than balance that out and not being forced into bankruptcy is always a plus 😎

You’re so diplomatic about the US health system. It is advanced but is only for the rich. It’s why most middle class can save and invest their whole life and still be afraid to getting seriously ill and wiping out their wealth in old age. Work till you drop in the US.

Well, being an American living in Canada for 5 years...ummm, Health care you are just a number and they don't listen to you if you feel something is going on with your body.
Ultrasound, your just a slab of meat.
The US, I feel like a princess living in a Castle for healthcare.
