Interested in mind mapping? Then these videos might be for you:

Are you serious about academic success? If so, you should get a lot out of these videos:

Up to your neck in flashcards and Anki but not getting the results everyone says you should be getting? Here is an apparently ‘controversial’ but super valuable (and PROPERLY evidence-based) take on Active Recall and Spaced Repetition (rather than the pseudo-evidence most ‘gurus’ regurgitate):

Basically, from time to time:
1 --> Write down the steps in solving the questions. Write them as you remember it
2 --> Compare it to already existing steps somewhere (YouTube, Google, friends) that leads you to the answer
3 --> If you understand why the steps are there, why they are in that order and when to use them, you have conceptual understanding. You just need to solve questions regularly. Doesn't matter how many. Just make it regular
If you failed 3 then ask for help (teacher, ChatGPT, Google) and let them explain how and why the steps are that way and are related to the topic. Then you will get conceptual understanding (you understand the topic)
With regular problem solving, conceptual understanding will lead to procedural understanding (how to do it)

For those who don't understand what he said, there are 2 parts of understanding: conceptual understanding and procedural understanding
Conceptual understanding means you understand how the topic works and what it is about
Procedural understanding means you know the steps required to solve questions for that topic.

So he means when you solve a math problem, try to write down the steps in your mind on the paper. Then compare it to other method that works. If you understand why the steps are there, then it means you understand the topic, you just didn't remember the steps. But if you understand how the steps are related to the topic, then you lack conceptual understanding (understanding the topic itself). If you lack conceptual understanding, more practice isn't the solution...you need to understand the role the steps play in solving the question

I really like your videos and find them helpful, but I study Computer Science and do a lot of math there and disagree with this statement. Math was like a foreign language to me starting and I really always tried to get the gist of it, to understand the concepts and everything thats behind it . But in this case, this might be the wrong approach (it failed me greatly). I really just started getting better at UNDERSTANDING math after I practiced it more, studied the solutions to exercises and just basically trained muscle memory. If you dont have a natural intuition for the field to really be smart and understand it, you should rather treat it like a sport. Understand how the movements work by experience, develop the reflexes you need by being confronted by the lack of them. Your study theory works for most angles of studying I think, but math is much more practical then people think. So first learn to DO the movement efficiently, then understanding exactly how and why it works so good will become clearer. You understand the relationships better since you made yourself familiar with them!

Best way to learn maths, use paper and pen while learning math and start using your brain solving the question 😊

What do you do if your understanding of mathematical vocabulary is deficient

For me it is usually procedural, now what...

Bro makes no sense but here’s a tip to make your videos less boring.

- Add a Gradual visual zoom on your video when your speaking and make sure your face is centred on the video.

- Also use language that makes sense to the average 5 year old so that we’re not forced to buy your course but with the value you provide we are more likely to buy your course because you actually make sense.

- Other than that I love your stuff for the most part 😁🙌🏾
