I am Tom Saguto, PGA Member and founder of SagutoGolf. Thank you for visiting my instructional page where you can find how to get on the fast track to improving your golfing abilities. Whether you are a seasoned golfing veteran looking for a quick swing tune-up after an on-course emergency, or a beginner just looking to get the most out of your golfing experience, I am here to help you achieve your golfing goals.

My mission as your swing doctor is simple, to help you maximize your enjoyment in game of golf. Because, let’s face it, golf is a hard game.

My philosophy is wholly based on the student having a fun, meaningful experience in a frustrating and complicated game where potential lifelong golfers either quit because it is too difficult or that they experience some form of swing-related pain or discomfort. I mitigate these problems by focusing entirely on the student’s needs and goals while teaching a golf swing method that ultimately takes stress off of the common pain areas of the swing.

Ok. This is ridiculous. I’ve watched hundreds of instructional videos on YouTube, but nothing has had a bigger impact on my swing than this video. It’s so simple and so effective, I’m still sitting back in awe after my session on the range today.
Mind boggling easy, and ridiculously powerful.
I salute you.

I'm only watching your golf videos from here on out.
I have been watching about 8 different instructors and your is my #1 choice .
I boiled it down to yours because I'm a over the top (worst in my league) swinger. I'm sore, my left shoulder hurts when I swing (Right handed) and my head moves around like a bobber on a windy day fishing.
Your method is less stressful on my body and your a hoot to learn from.
Keep up the good work.

Since I've started watching your videos I've been hitting the ball in the mouth and much straighter. And that makes the game fun for me. Thank you Tom.

A few years ago i was at the range when i had the skipping a rock motion working in my swing and i was hitting great shots. I never really felt it again until i saw this video. I will try it at the range this week and report back. Tom Saguto has a knack to explain and break things down to be very understandable. Tomz the BEST!

I just love to watch Hogan's swing again and again. Absolutely no tension whatsoever!
The tight arm staying close to the right side and essentially creating the perfect plane is what I'm most interested in exploring first along with the S&T fundamentals.
I can just about visualize my new swing freeing up my body and having some fun.
Love your short to the point videos Tom.

Agree completely Tom with how Hogan used his trail arm, but I feel his true secret was when he learned to swing left. As you know Hogan couldn't keep the ball from going hard left with a screaming hook but he also missed right as well which caused him to over use his hands due to the open club face he used in his not so good swings. When he learned to square the club face up without using his overactive hands he began to swing left which allowed the soft fade. Watch his lead upper arm in his good swings and you will see it closer to his lead peck than his old swing which had the upper lead arm away from his lead peck. This move alone squared the club face up with the swing path. Good vids loaded with the best info I have seen in years, thanks, Tinker!!

Of all the tips on golf swing this is the big one for me. Took ages trying to get a consistent backswing whilst noticing good players had a crook in the trail arm. Coaches talk of "holding up a tray" but I now realise the key importance of keeping the upper trail arm attached..

Tom I love your videos. Folding the right forearm as you described has completely changed my game. It also seems to have fixed my over the top move for some reason. My index is dropping every week and now is 4.2. The last 9 out of 11 rounds have been in the 70's and shot 73 yesterday at my home course. It has a course rating and slope of 72.3 and 136, hence it needs your full attention. Thanks again.

This is the most astute and insightful explanation I've seen of what Hogan was doing - spring loading his right arm. Try what Bob suggests and you'll see a big difference (once you get the timing right), and why Hogan's finish was so high and why he ended up on his tiptoes - a spring loaded right arm then driven to full extension as the club face meets the ball.

Nice, I just discovered this move in my garden (lockdown) a few days ago. Now I know I'm onto something having seen this. Thanks Tom

Out of all fo your videos this is the best. The part about the arm @ 90 degrees and taking it back the the right arm attached is everything and the simplest way to explain how this works.

I'm 42, been playing since I was 12, HS golf team, etc. I hurt my back a few years ago and consequently struggled to find confidence in my swing again. I watched this video, did the practice drill in my living and went to play golf the next day. I'm not kidding, i didn't warm up or hit practice balls and I was ripping my tee shots all day. The two previous rounds I was all over the course. Amazing tip that works for experienced players and beginners. THanks, TOM!!!

I’ve gotta be honest, I’m about just over 2 years into the game they call golf, I’ve watched a fair few different golf instructors/players etc but this man here is by far the best at explaining the game in the simplest and most consistent game but unfortunately due to this covid stuff can’t take it to the course but Saguto golf all the way 🙌🏾

Hey Tom, im irish and i played hurling when i was younger, ive been trying so many different swings for years, your right arm move is pretty much the way i used to hit a hurling ball, great tip man, keep up the good work.

In addition to Tom's great tip, notice how his right forearm faces UP on the downswing. Helped me stay " behind the ball" and follow through correctly. Thanks Tom !
