My neighbor has a fig tree around 25 years old. Produces heavily every year. in the 4 years I've had my eye on it it has yet to put on new growth. Last year I traded some baby chicks for a good mess of cuttings. All very aged wood. Every cutting failed me while my other varieties propagated just fine. I theorized the failure had to do with the old growth. Fast forward to this year and all the pruning I had done came back with a vengeance! fresh new growth large green figs with a blonde inside (very sweet). Quite a bit of the new growth has hardened off and I'm excited to give it a shot again this fall. I'm hopeful for success. The old growth figs are very flavorful and the new growth figs are outstanding! No one has a clue on the variety. Flavor resembles a honey sugar fig but I can't compare it to anything I've ever tasted. has a slight floral note and hint of something else. very "syrupy" hard to describe

I take winter cuttings around the end of February from last year cuttings. I find that these winter cuttings are the best for starting new fig plants.

With 700 trees rooting in the greenhouse, when you plan to add them to your website for purchase? I missed several of your varieties this year. They sold out so fast! The ones I did purchase were great and are thriving in my yard. Love the channel!!
