Track custom events with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager (2022)

Learn how to send custom events to Google Analytics 4.

If you want to send events to GA4, first check the list of recommended events in the official documentation. If you cannot find anything relevant there, feel free to use any name for your custom event.

Great Video! I was curious as to how we could use this for tracking banner image impressions (as stated in this video) as well as clicks, all in one report. Currently I had to set up two events, one for clicks, and one for visible elements. It would be cool to have it in one report.

Hi Julius! Can you please explain when is used Create events feature in GA4? Isn't it the same as creating a tag in Tag Manager with a custom event parameter and then registering it in the Custom Definitions section?
