I love doing weighted dips twice a week. One session is touch and go with heavier weights. The other session is light weights with a pause at the bottom

When weighted, I found I Can ONLY do paused dips. The plate swing is too much if i dont.

I replaced bench press with this. Tempo eccentrics and paused at the bottom. My rep work went from 100 lbs for 10 reps to literally BW and I have been working my way back up since, currently at 25 lbs now. I get an insane chest pump and my chest gets sore every week I do them

pull-ups, barbell bench press and squat are a bit tricky overloading with weighted stretching and extra range of motion. While dips, RDLs are stupid easy

AGREE... I now do slow control dips with a deep stretch at the bottom which is more challenging and I feel stronger with more plates or heavier dumbbells between my legs

Yh I started to go slower on dips too, overall priortising deep streches and better range of motion on all exercises, drop the ego and grow.

I'm real conflicted about weighted dips. Some say keep the scapula depressed and and lean your back forward. Others say let your scapula move freely through the motion and keep the center of mass neutral. Thoughts?

i always do this with ring dips. I can only do 3 sets x 1 each workout since i do full body. But still. I feel a lot of strength and confidence when doing them
