Going 72-10 and 69-13 in back to back seasons is crazy

It's also crazy how they're doing all this without Chet for half the season. Don't be surprised if they have a 72+ win season next year, with all of their player only getting better.

Crazy to think that they'll probably be better next season

The Thunder could get to 70, but I think it’s hard to get hyped for 2 reasons: 1. Most of us have seen a team get to 73, that’s not happening again.
2. Arguably, GSW shouldn’t have gone after that record so hard. If they give Steph a couple games of rest and go 71-11, I think they win that championship. OKC should probably take that lesson. Don’t chase regular season accolades so hard that it hurts you in the playoffs, keep your eyes on the prize
Update: OKC failed to reach 70 wins so this is moot

Call your shot: what team ends the Thunder’s quest for 70? Or do they get it done? ⬇️

“They’re not super likable” brotha what are you on. How can you not like this team? No controversy, they all love each other, all of them clearly have a ton of fun. If you don’t find that likable that’s a you problem.

As a Celtics fan, the thunder are 100% the biggest threat

This is the most like able Thunder team in Thunder history. Also casuals don’t watch us so they just hang onto false news without forming own opinions. This team has changed how people do postgame interviews etc

Glad they’re doing so well. After Durant left, I’m sure people thought OKC would become just another middling team in a league full of them. They did have two difficult years, but have made the Playoffs five times since Durant’s departure, and this year might have the best overall record.

They might rest their starters those last few games

It’s wild to think that this team isn’t “super likable”

It’s not getting talked about because they’re in the NBA’s smallest market, haven’t made the conference finals before, and their superstar isn’t outspoken and doesn’t have the most marketable game (compared to Ant, Ja, etc). If they get a ring this year or at least push Boston in the Finals it’ll change the popular perception of them big time.

If Thunder wins the chip this season, that means the last two champions were built from two of the most lopsided trades in NBA history

Many teams throughout NBA history have had a shot at 70. But it's only happened twice ever. That makes it more rare than pitching a perfect game in baseball. And when a pitcher perfect through 5bor 6 or even 7 innings we all know it's possible but not probable he'll go all 27 out with perfection. The same is true with 70 wins in basketball. Until they win number 70 we assume they're not going to do it.

Nah their team in 2-3 years when Chet hits his prime will be the one remembered as one of the best teams ever

I don’t think people are talking about it because they’re not beating anyone’s record. Just making history. If they had a chance to beat GSW record it would be everywhere.

Most great teams don’t achieve 70 because they rest up before the playoffs. But this team is so dominant and deep it might go 9-0 while resting its best players .
