As a former Lead/project Engineer at Saab TDC, it's so heartwarming to see your videos. I worked with the interior and NVH properties for over 20 years until the very end. Ended my career with a couple of years with NEVS, working with the 9-3 EV.

Just about any workshop around where I live knows SAAB outside in.
On the other hand, I live in Sweden. We kind of have Saab in our blood.

Also, I'm neverrrr selling my SAAB. I just can't. Knowing that we're the last generation to own em ;)

Number four is something to take pride in. The fact that Saab’s are still thriving among the people who love them. It makes me sad knowing we will never see a new Saab ever again, but it makes it all the cooler to own one

Here's an idea for a Saab debate...

I personally feel that Saab missed a prime opportunity to basically market themselves like Subaru did with their rally sport competition.
Saab had many years, decades even, of competitive rally sport. Yet by the mid to late 80's they stopped ( I'm not sure why ).
Yet Subaru built their brand on the back of Rallying and became known as a cool, tough, rugged performance machine.

Saab should have went down this route under GM ownership, and boosted their appeal. They could have done this AND promoted their eco friendly technology at the same time. Sales would have been much higher and Saab may even still be around today. They didn't and a wasted opportunity.

I own a Saab 9-3 2007 Cabrio. I am 61 and owned a lot of high end cars. This is my first Saab and have it now for a couple of months. My God, WHAT a car!!!! Great value for money, quiet, quick, comfortable to non. What a shame this brand went down! To all Saab drivers: live the dream, dream the future together with your Saab! Kind regards from the Netherlands 👍👋

This Monday I closed the deal on a 2001 9-3 HB. It was not well taken care of but I'll give it the love it deserves and restore it.

I must be an absolute madman. I've sunk so much into both my '02 9-5 Linear 2.3t Sportcombi, and '06 9-3 Aero 2.8t sedan.

But it's worth it. It's worth coming outside, seeing my two black beauties parked nose to nose, and hearing that familier "bong bong bong" when I put the key in. It's worth the engine noise, the turbo woosh (open air intake!), And the feeling of rowing through the gears, watching that needle poke into the red. I've gotten compliments on both cars, and I beam with pride. I've walked on a V8, and a few imports, and it's fun to see them look a little shocked over a black sedan from Sweden pulling in them. I love looking at my wheel, and seeing that blue badge. The green glow of the gauges is relaxing, and those seats.

Best.
Seats.
Ever!

Don't even get me started in the stereos.

I bought my first Saab earlier this year a 2002 Saab 9-5 Linear with Aero seats. I can honestly say I don't think there are any newer cars that are better than my Saab. The handling, braking, acceleration, comfort, and amenities are great

Great video.

When I see a Saab on the road I always tell myself what a piece of Sweden engineering that is. And what a great legacy from this company/brand, that died as a hero.
The biggest question for me is, what could be a my car after Saab?! And I think that if you own a Saab, you would never drive nothing else :)

Saabs were and still are my favourite brand of car. The brand finished as a hero, would have rather gone under and keep its loyal principles than turn into a joke like gm vauxhall who fleeces it's customers with sub standard garbage.

Had as a first car a Saab 2001 9.3 2.0t as a present from my uncle. It has stayed over 2 years outside an had rust everywhere.
Broke my heart as I figured, that it couldn't be saved anymore... Drove through heavy snow, hight temperature and very heavy rain with aquaplaning. Drove above mountains in Switzerland and everything without Power in the turbo! This car was freaking amazing and I will never forget these wonderful trips. I drove over 100'000km without much issues, but it can'tbe helped...

But I bought another one because it is a pleasure to drive it. Everything just feels great in it. I think, if you drove a Saab you don't want any other car at all

Respect and great video. Had 2 Classic Saab 900 Turbos the last one being the final UK production run of it - the "Ruby Edition". Can no longer drive due to medical condition but still want to own a SAAB 900 again. When I see a 900 Turbo on the road I always give the driver a big thumbs up and feel the love for it. Hopefully one day can get one again and have my wife or one of my kids drive it for me <3.

#5 Saabs are looked down upon (atleast here in Sweden), "Volvo is better, get a real car." :( My 9-5 runs great, mine atleast starts compared to my friends volvos, bmw etc XD
after i gave them a ride, they changed their minds :)))

I love my Saab. I’ve owned 3 in the past year. My current 2006 9-3 2.0t Saab has 286xxx miles on it an runs like a champ. Starts right up an never lets me sit. An I’m not the easiest on it at times. I enjoy it. :)

Great video as always.
Just 4 downsides. That's not much, so basically it's a damn good car :)
You touched me there at the end. My heart also cryes to the fact there will not be any new SAABs.
And even here in Sweden you see less of them on the road, but every time I see one, my heart melts.

Fantastic video, can almost feel your pain. At least Saab's will be around for many years to come thanks to enthusiasts like you. There are plenty being maintained on UK roads. :-)
