I used to know someone who was 40 something years old and said they never had pain. As someone who wakes up everyday in pain from being in a car accident in my twenties, I was somewhat jealous and shocked at her statement. That accident ruined my career and my life. I believe that pain does cause anxiety and depression as I have all that now and ptsd. There has to be a better way in our medical system. I have been to many many doctors and they all run basically the same type tests and then they tell me I'm incurable and send me back to my primary care physician. I am in my late 40s and I have spent my entire life going to doctors in this same circular path. Now, I see a mental health doctor every 3 months. I don't think that I would be in the situation I'm in if doctors had helped me after my accident to be able to continue my life and maintain my job that I liked so much.

What a useful video... Omg.... I could deeply resonate to every single thing you pointed out. For the first in in long time I feel Seen.... THANK YOU!

I'm 29 and I've been dealing with lower back pain for years and then recently diagnosed with degenerative discs.... Despite of being the best student at university, having a great job, because of the pain I've lost everything.... I lost my passion for travelling and hiking.... My inner child mourns every single day... I want to do so much, but I couldn't....

People think when you're young, you're faking the pain.... Even my own older sister says "just forget about it for a while, let go out" and doesn't try understand at all....

I don't know what to do with this one life, when I had a different plan and the life had some other plans for me...

Struggling physically, emotionally, spiritually, financially too

Relatable in the contexts of post operative pain and pain from worker's compensation injuries and accident injuries as well.

Had an episode of shingles that threw me for a loop. Disturbed circadian rhythm, particularly cause sleep is the only time the mind is not distracted enough to have that gnawing stabbing and itching that is of a relatively prolonged duration, around 2 weeks. Tooth aches similar, migraines though no more than 24 hours can also be debilitating. Humbling experience to remind oneself how disorienting it must be to have pain on a chronic basis.

Thanks for sharing. Most parts of your presentation are practically not possible for many sections of people. Theoretically it sounds convincing . Some of the facilities are even out of reach for some chroically suffering people.
