The best controller debate will never end. From my experience the Elite 1 & 2s have absolutely horrible quality standards. After my 3rd Elite Series 2 I went through my friends list and took a survey for the Elite controllers.

Myself and 19 of my friends have collectively went through 63 Series 1 & 2 controllers... 63! No one is satisfied with the constant back and forth with Microsoft especially when you only use the controller for 3 months and it either loses the triggers, A/Y buttons or worst of all the stick drift is so common that 12 of my 19 friends returned at least 2 Elite controllers for irreversible stick drift alone.

I can not speak for all of them and how hard they are on controllers yet my own experience I have been as careful as one could be knowing how many controllers I've been through. Its very sad that these controllers have so many issues for so many people because the majority of people love the feel and performance for the short period that the controller actually works.

I have since made the switch to Razer because I do not want to spend $250-300 on a SCUF. A few of my friends also switched to Razer and Wildcats or Wolverine Ultimates and only 1 of 5 of my friends has had an issue within 6 months. So far its good news from me for the Wolverine Ultimate. The controller feels pretty on par with the Elite Series 2 for materials feeling nice and not cheaply done. Now that I have gotten accustomed to the ABXY buttons on the Razer I tried using my (still mostly working) Elite Series 1 and the deep press on the ABXY buttons felt so bad! Another bonus is not buying batteries anymore as I sit right next to my monitor I do not care if the controller is wired or wireless. The wired also feels more snappy and connecting to the game.

This comment is so long at this point I doubt anyone made it this far... if you did you are awesome and I hope you have a great day! So far I am pleased with my Razer Wolverine Ultimate. :)

I had a PowerA spectra infinity, after a couple days of light use the stick drift appeared severely, the controller was phenomenal in every aspect for the price i paid, i hope they do better quality control on the more expensive models like the Fusion Pro 2, touch and feeling was top notch, way way better than the original controller

I love my Elite 2. I have had some issues and had my 1st one replaced by warranty. On my second one I've had stick drift issues but I found a video on YouTube on how to fix it and it worked. I haven't had any issues out of it in months!

I had the first fusion pro, I loved it, and when I saw the fusion pro 2 out, I had to buy it. The paddles are way sturdier on the fusion pro 2. And it has a little bit more of a premium feel. There's some grips, and it comes with a changeable faceplate.

I can agree to the elite 2 controller quality issues, im on my second controller and i am having LB button issues sometimes, i recommended you putting it in the provided case to keep it fron getting beat up too much

For the average player the standard Xbox controller is the best option. Im using a PowerA Fusion Pro 2 and its fantastic. Much better than the older version and it feels very PREMIUM...

I have the Instinct Pro. One small issue with the design is the magnetic battery door. If you even mildly bump the controller in a downward direction, the batteries will come out without any resistance. If that wasn't an issue, I'd give it a 9 out of 10.

One thing about the fusion pro (both versions) is that the part where the paddles hook up tend to break after a month or 2. Especially in games like COD, Halo, and Apex. I use a paddles to jump and one to slide. So games like COD where slide cancelling is the meta movement the paddles can take alot of abuse and the paddle mounts will break. The paddles will still be somewhat usable but will be mushy and inconsistent. If u have the paddles to the first fusion and u bought the newer version I recommend using both the short paddles from each controller and putting it one. U must put the older versions short paddles on top and the short paddles of the newer version on bottom(using 4 short paddles of the newer version won't work they overlap). This way the paddles will have a little less flexibility will feel less mushy and will feel slightly more responsive. I have had 3 of them and only one had stick drift. Like the other 2 literally had zero. On apex I could use 0.0 deadzones with no drift. So overall they are a good controller for the price. But like I said if u can get your hands on some older version short paddles I highly recommend it. It will help preserve the paddles mounts and will feel less mushy.

Razer wolverine V2 chroma is easily the best controller I've tried, it definitely outpaces the elites imo, and not to mention my elite got defective bumpers AND stick drift within 3 months that really didn't help it

Elite Series 2 got a redo. It's been bulletproof. I only bought after I found out it had been updated to tackle those quality issues. 5mo and going strong with daily usage. I bought directly from Microsoft to ensure I got a new version of it.

I prefer the Razer myself. I like a tight grip and the back buttons on most of these other controllers don't work well for me. Also, I love the 3rd shoulder button placement. It feels so natural. I've tried the elite series 2 and the fusion and while they are nice they just didn't make me better like the razer did.

I've had the power a spectra and 3 of the power a fusion pro 2 the last one lasted 2 days before the headphone jack blew out other 2 ended up with headphone jack issues and stick drift that left them unsuable ended up with the updated elite series 2

maybe it's just me but I don't understand how wired is a con, unless the wire isn't removable, I think wireless or wired is an option these days or preference, they both have their pros and cons, so it's just preference.

I got mine from my local GameStop during the summer. The guy working that day told me that out of the 20 Elite Series 2 controllers he has sold, only one came back with issues. So far, mine hasn't had any problems. Needs color and design customization options on Xbox Design Lab; that's my only complaint with the Elite Series 2.

I have a turtle beach recon controller and it’s a great controller. For the first 6 or so months. After that, you start to notice some wear in the controller.

My left back button doesn’t work consistently anymore; it’s inconsistent with button presses and requires a few more button presses for it to respond.

As well as some strange stick drift - I say strange bc it’s constant drift, it comes in waves. For example, in Modern Warfare 2 I’ll be tac-sprinting and my aim will automatically start drifting to the right or left without giving any input (not sure if it’s a software or hardware issue as ik this controller has software integration). But this won’t happen all the time, so I can never predict when it’s going to happen and try to adjust for stick drift.

However, apart from all these cons, it’s a great controller and certainly worth the price with all the added features you get with it. If you can get past all these drawbacks then it’s a great controller.

I have the Scuf Instinct Pro Controller. And I love it. One more pro I can tell you all from experience is that, for the price of it its really really durable. I've yeet'ed mine into the ceiling more times then I can count at this point and it still works. I think the key lies in the fact that it has many detachable parts so they break the impact up into 9 separate pieces.

M elite 2 has worked great for me . My elite one started to drift after using it for about 3 years so I bought an elite 2 and love it .

I’m getting the Spectra Infinity for Christmas, I tried my friend’s and it feels way better than the controller that comes with the Series S/X.
