Foil and metal cards fully block when it's physically between the RFID reader and the credit card. If behind the credit card it won't fully protect. When possible, simply put foil or metal on both sides of your wallet ensuring a 'sandwich' with cards in between!

It would be good to add, that the reason the free options failed is that they are directional blockers, so you would need to have foil on both sides, not just one side; the wallets you showed have foil weaved on the external sides.

Blocking sleeve is the best option for me. Thank you.

There is shielding tape of conductive metal mesh with conductive glue layer (made in China, from eBay), which is more robust than aluminum foil (which tends to tear at the fold after a while when bent around both sides). Placing this cloth-like material inside the wallet (in the money bill compartment, bending around both sides) may be even better.

an easy cheap durable way to shield wallet is aluminum foil tape they sell it in home stores for duct work which is what should be used not duct tape on heating ducts. you just cut a piece and stick it into sleeve where cash goes in outer part of wallet, and it is long lasting might get a few cracks at fold but will still work

This is help since I've been wondering about. Currently, I have both my car key fob and my credit cards in a heavy stainless steel case, but it's good to know that there are less obtrusive ways available. I will look at getting an RFID-blocking card. Perhaps a combination of an RFID-blocking card and an RFID-blocking wallet would be even better.

The best feature I like is blocking the card on the app. Especially my bank card since it is the most vulnerable one.

Obviously those free suggestions will not work on the side where you do not have it! Duh!

Brief, concise, informative, and you have timestamps - great video!

Should try scanning two cards together to see if the scanner can read one.

I'd welcome a video about the blocking effectiveness of those thin minimalist wallets, particularly those with a clear ID slot on one side and vertical card slots on the other (where the cards' swipe strips poke out the top).

Glue an old card or wrap a card sized card sheet in foil to make your own RFID block card

They should add a physical push button to activate radio circuit

just drill a hole on the card to break the antena. You can see where to drill with your phone's flashlight

You should show the difference of each so people can make the best choice for them. I mean showing the wallet first getting scanned without the card and then with it so they know it actually works correctly.

Actually need to wrap the aluminium foil around the card just keeping it one side of card it won't block properly.

You need to wrap the foil around the card...

When someone sees an aluminum foil sheet in my wallet, they'll think I'm doing drugs or something 😂
