The way you handle your emotions as an adult depends enormously on the way you were tuned into and helped to manage big feelings when you were an infant.

When mothers talk about baby's feelings of fear, discomfort in the body, hunger, need to be held or just played with, then those big feelings are detoxified and baby learns to handle them.

But when mothers don't talk to babies about their big feelings then baby gets overloaded and stressed out, then all the toxicity gets laid down in the body. That baby who didn't get the tuning in will have difficulty regulating their emotions and are at risk for panic attacks, psychosomatic conditions like insomnia, skin and bowel disease.

The emotions get expressed through the body. Infants who are neglected emotionally speak through their bodies as adults and that's what happened to Ian who got attention only when he was ill. He was so scared of his feelings that he kept them in until those feelings were made safe in his long therapeutic journey. Read his story and relieve yourself in the process.
