CPU Single core score is crucial for audio production.

Also check for dpc latency of the laptop as windows laptops have higher dpc latency and macbooks have lower dpc latency. Thats y ppl say some model of dell xps 13 or something is bad for music prodction even if has high end specs

I have a late 2013 macbook pro with i7 1tb ssd and 16gb ram and protools still craps out on me.

I recommend M1 Max with (1tb or 2tb ssd) 64gb ram for any production so you won’t have any hiccups recording etc.

Dude holy cow you’re the bees knees. Thank you so much. I am about to take the next step with production and upgrade my to a new device and I’m thinking mac. This saved my ass with the minimum version that’s required to run to studio. I’m looking into older desktop models from apple. Hell yes. Thank you again.

the most important piece of info here you've given is wrong.. I don't know why you came up with 5, 000 as a score for the cpu. multi-core performance is BS for any daw. single core score is the most important metric. and you miss that. and I see a lot of people already pointed that out so good on them.. bad on you for keeping this video up and misinforming people.

Do all plugins work in macbook m1 chip ? as we need to use roseta for some plugins. Lot of confusion. Also Windows laptops have high dpc latency. Which windows laptop do you suggest with the least dpc latency for music production as i am on budget.
