Today, Christian visits London Jewelers' Manhasset location to review three watches that prove just why Grand Seiko is such a dominating force in the watch market! The three main reasons are their dials/materials, their attention to the US market, and their movements.

First, we have the SBGA413, a member of the brand's Four Seasons collection. This example is the "Spring" variant, with a beautiful light pink dial that recalls the color of freshly fallen cherry blossom leaves. It's crafted from high-intensity titanium, making is super light on the wrist and also very durable, is a US market exclusive (along with the rest of the collection), and is powered by the brand's Spring Drive technology, making it the perfect bridge between the three reasons we outlined.

Next up, we have the SBGP015, a member of the 60th Anniversary collection with its stunning blue sunburst dial and pop of red on the seconds hand. Crafted from steel and 200 meters water resistant, the main defining feature of this watch is its matching blue ceramic bezel, which is non-rotational and plays beautifully with the light.

Finally, we have the SBGA429, another US special edition like the Four Seasons, this time celebrating "soko," or the time of the first frost. Its vertically grained, charcoal-colored dial is meant to embody the aesthetic of the thick bamboo forests of Japan, with accents of green to reinforce the ever-present role of nature in the Grand Seiko design process.

I saw Grand Seikos in real life, for the first time ever, a month ago. These timepieces are truly breathtaking. And if I’m not mistaken, the sales specialist actually had the four-season watches on display. He also told me that if one has all four watches, Grand Seiko gifts the proud owner with an exclusive box to house the watches.

I recently purchased a snowflake and am in love with it like no other watch I have, and I have a couple that cost more than double with better provenance.

I have a GS snowflake a few years ago and own several stainless steel watches. I love the lightness of the titanium and prefer it to stainless. And the spring drive with the polished blue second hand is a beautiful thing to see. Accuracy is a couple seconds per month not per day.

Seiko wants to sell you their watches. Rolex wants you to beg them to sell you their watches.

Kevin O’Leary said Grand Seiko is the 80000 dollar watch in terms of quality and finish, you can buy for 6000 new.

Weight is important for sport and sport dress watches. However, for such a unique watch with a "snowflake" dial, a light-weight metal should be Snowflakes are light, titanium is light. After all, you don't pickup a heavy snowflake from the ground. Titanium was the right choice.

My SBGW231 is the one watch that gives me that feeling of excitement of a brand new watch each time I put it on and I've had it since 2018. Their watches really need to be seen in the metal to gain a full appreciation for them, and the ownership experience is truly second to none!

I own 2 Grand Seiko. My first ever high end watch was a GS Spring Drive Snowflake. Since then, to my collection, I've added a JLC Reverso Duoface, an Omega Globemaster, an IWC Portugieser Automatic, a Rolex Explorer, and a Grand Seiko Hi-Beat GMT. I've been so impressed with my first GS, that I decided to get a second one before I tried a different brand. Absolutely amazing watches in every way.

I collected my GS Snowflake 2 weeks ago and I love the details. But I also love how refreshingly different the weight of the titanium feels on the wrist. It’s my only titanium watch, and most of my watches will ALWAYS be steel, but it makes a really nice change to have the lightweight on rotation.

My grail watch is a quartz watch: Grand Seiko SBGN003. Absolutely magnificent piece of horology. Gonna buy it when I turn 50, I'm 47.

Bought a SBGR251 as my first luxury watch. I Looked at the 4 Seasons and the Soko GS's, too, but i decided to go with a smaller model, which fit my wrist better (37mm). Absolutely love it.

When i walked into a boutique and saw the rather small GRAND SEIKO display, all the other watches vanished. I knew i needed to have the "WINTER". This was couple month ago. The lightweight titanium is so comfortable to wear. It becomes one with you <3

To add: the brand new escapement movement that just debuted in SLGH003. First real innovation in a mechanical movement since Co-Axial

I walked into my local GS boutique with the intent of looking specifically at the Soko Shadow and once I held the Spring SBGA413 in my hand I was sold and it came home with me. For the price point you simply can not find anything that comes close IMHO.
