The Counter Argument: Monero (XMR) is difficult to buy and sell in a timely fashion and in more than small amounts and still in privacy. Go try to buy Monero. Even if Monero itself has all the privacy in the world, at some point in time you still need to bypass the 'Weak Link' - How you gonna use fiat currency to buy it? Think it through. Bank transfer? Credit Card? Skrillex? etc. These all identify you. What onramp exchange lets you buy XMR without ID? You gonna send cash in the mail to buy XMR? Not to mention now exchanges are dumping XMR because SEC and their ilk tell them.
