It's almost dystopian how the cryptobros can both believe their new shiny currency will replace the old currencies and usher in a new age while also simultaneously only supporting new currencies because they want to convert them to old currencies and get rich.

My favorite thing about crypto is that they preached about how it'll replace fiat currency and then entirely tied its worth to fiat currency by measuring it in dollars (and other conversions, regionally, of course). It's just dollars with extra steps the way they try to make it work.
