Demonetized for 'Reused Content' **SOLVED**

As vague as YouTube is about their bots demonetizing YouTubers I believe I have figured it out when it comes to "reused content". I appealed and lost my appeal from an actual individual, but it gave me even more information regarding why I was demonetized (although I disagree) and potentially how to fix it.

I understand your pain 1000% everything you said happened to me. I had a spike and huge growth in November. Wake up December 7th and I have refused content. Sent an appeal no luck, it's been 2 months now. Now I'm getting the lowest views since I started.

YouTube forgot that their whole business model was to give the amateur creator/producer/editor (one man band) a platform to gain a viewing audience.

YouTube do not even let you know which video or videos got you demonetized. All they say is "Reused Content"

How could they cut you off from search engines? A lot of channels without monetization have been denied several times and yet they have not been cut off from search engines.

The appeal process is wild. They want you to make a video showing how you make videos, and talk to them about why you think you deserve another shot all in four minutes and 30 seconds.

You just needed screen shots of your programs you use to edit, your voice over and editing process frame by frame on your computer etc. And show your scripts etc. I did a video to appeal and it got accepted in 24 hours. Did you follow the format and mentioned your channel url in the first 30 secs. Maybe you didnt follow the format

YouTube hates small creators these days, I'm thinking being montizied on YT just isn't worth it anymore unless you have really really great content, and even then.. they just keep finding ways to not pay us

Same problem here. I did an appeal video. I even showed them myself filming, myself editing, screen shots of my work, all of it. I also was very careful to either remove, or make sure any copyrighted flagged material was removed from my channel. I'm also a professional video producer, and my channel isn't filled with junk. I was still rejected. I don't believe an actual human watches your appeal. Only bots and AI.

I've concluded that the only way is you have to remove almost every last video that isn't yours in any and every way. All compilations. All video done by someone else, even free-license, copyright free, etc. should probably be removed. Sound crazy? It seems the only way. If someone else has another suggestion, I'd like to know.

YouTube moderators, chat, email and such will do nothing to help. They are ordered to not tell you anything more than sending you the same links you can easily find on your own.

Just woke up today Monday morning August 7th 2023, and checking my studio app, I can't find the monetization section. I can't see earnings. I refreshed the app and checked but nothing. Then something ringed on my mind to quickly check my email and behold, on checking, the email says I have been demonized. I launched studio to check why and it says reused content. That's on my other channel. Not this. I suspect it relates to some of my videos appearing on the two channels.
And yes, my main channel began having a spike in the last few weeks, more views, more revenue. Just when I am having a spike in views, growth and revenue, they demonized me 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️. But the channel I have which is normal, not too much of a spike but monetized, they didn't bother about that. They will monitor you when you start getting too much growth.

I feel your pain! Although I'm a brand new channel, not yet monetized, I am feeling scared now! What if I work hard and get monetized then suddenly get demonetized through no fault of my own? I really miss the days when it was so easy to pick up the phone and talk to a real LIVE person about issues, instead of having to depend on bots....

In my channel 100% is original with no stock videos or clips from third parties, everything is created by me and music is from the youtube library or licensed, despite that YouTube claims I "reused content".

YouTube's "reused content" demonetization is a bunch of crap, and their appeal is nonesense and unfair
