Our 2019 Mazda CX-5 just got it's first check engine light with 30K miles. In this video we show you how to use a universal ODB2 sensor to read the Check Engine Light code, and potentially clear to code as well. You can do this all yourself for free without wasting time and money at the dealer!

Video is not sponsored and I bought the product myself. I receive a small commission for purchases through the Amazon affiliate links above. thanks for the support!

Nice one. My wife's 2020 CX5 just had the cel come on randomly, after she took it in for maintenance a couple months ago. I'm going to tighten the gas cap before trying to diagnose anything.

I'm finding that Mazdas have really sensitive sensors all over the car. Tire pressure being notorious. Happens every winter when the weather changes.

Help me understand, how reseting a message error from the dashboard is a solution? How do you what the issue was?

It’s ok to erase codes, but surely u need to take it to a garage or mechanic to get it sorted. Otherwise it will keeep coming on
