Clyde, I do appreciate the fact that you took the time to cover all common drain stoppers. I have already been on here for 40mins looking for my particular style stopper and have seen every stopper except the one I have...and then this gem. THANKS CLYDE!

None of the videos cover this topic so straight forward and clear. Thank you, I managed to clear my bathtub clog in 5 minutes with your help.

Went through 5 different videos, this is the only one that helped.. Thanks!

you are the only one of the many I looked at that showed the flathead screwdriver method. Which as it turns out is the one I needed! I tried several of the others to no avail. Thank you!

This may be two years after this tutorial was first published, but mister, you saved my sanity. The new apartment I rented had a bizarre drain stopper, and ladies with long hair shower there. Using a flat head helped me remove it. Now I can unclog the drain when necessary! Thank you!!!

Incredibly straightforward, Clive. Nice work. I am looking at one now that has a phillips head screw in the center of the top, but removing it does nothing at all. I checked the stem into the drain, and there is no screw in there either - just one small rivet head. If anyone has removed one like mine without breaking it, let me know. 😅

I just need to clear the drain. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you! This was so helpful. I am a relatively new homeowner and did not realize that my drain could have a set screw. It is a black screw, so it was really hard to see if you weren't looking for it! Saved me a lot of headache! Tub drain is fixed!

This is the kind of short, to the point DIY content youtube needs more of.

SUPER tried watching videos for a about to call an expensive plumber. With your video, literally five minutes and I was digging wads of hair out of my drain. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Very helpful and detailed information. I had a nasty clog full of hair, and I spent 1 hour trying to figure out how to remove the drain plug. This video nailed it, and my tub works excellent now.

Thanks man. My family and I moved into this house about 3 years ago and we’ve had problems with the water going down since we’ve moved in. We tried putting that liquid but it never seemed to work long.

This was very helpful and to the point. Exactly what I needed to get inside the stopper and remove the clog.

Thank you! This was the first video I looked up and you covered it right away! My drain has been draining so slow, and I couldn't get a drain snake in there and couldn't twist the drain stopper off! It had a little screw that I didn't know about! Aw, now my tub is sparkling clean again, thanks 😊

Thanks for this. I didn't attempt it yet, but I've been battling with one of my soaking tubs for a time. I noticed under the cap was a spot for me to jam a flathead in and twist, but I think I need a bigger, and more sturdy flat head to reattempt again.

Thanks again!

THANK YOU!!!! This is so helpful! Your comment that when you feel resistance, keep turning was exactly what I needed. I used a jar opener to loosen a tight one.🎉🎉🎉👏👏👏

Thank you, Thank you! We had to hold the main shaft part with pliers and unscrew the round knob and then use a flat head screwdriver to remove the shaft. So glad we didn’t have to call a plumber!!! Drains beautifully now. 🤠

Finally I got it!! The information and display tutorial was on point. Ours had the screw on the side and I was twisting counterclockwise for a long time 😂 before I came across this straight to the point and extremely helpful video. Thank you

Hero. Mine was one of the types you mentioned, and it made it super easy to take out and clear a clog.

Thank you for the information, mine had a Phillips head set screw. Made clearing the years of accumulated hair very easy, now the drain runs beautifully. Should have sought this out, wasted money on, over a half dozen super drain cleaner treatments that did little to nothing.
