How to remove the drain plug stopper from your tub, easily.

If there is no screw on your plug stopper, you might not know how to remove it for cleaning and removing clogs, I'll show you how.
It's a matter of keeping it latched while you unscrew it. No tools required.

Yep, watched 5 videos before finding this one, which actually explained how to unscrew it. Thanks for you help. :)

This is THE video on YouTube on how to do this. @SweetPotatoPatterns people also call this a "lift and turn" stopper. It's technically not a pop-up stopper, those have a flat top that you just push down on, so I didn't use that in my search, but found my way to you anyway - thank you!

Thank you for the information. I did use an adjustable wrench to loosen and tighten the stopper while the plug was lifted slightly like you described. Pulled the residue out below the plug and the drain works fine again.

This is something I should obviously have been able to figure out, but I have apparently never had to deal with a drain plug quite like this. I had it pulled all the way up and was unscrewing it ('cept not) for two minutes and was like "okay...this is defeating me." Thank you for putting this up.
