It worked on my third try. I have a fiberglass tub and I was worried about damaging it when I hammered the extractor in. The third time is when I hammered it the hardest. A impact wretched might have worked better but I used a breaker bar with a cheater pipe and I was able to break it loose. I don't think there was any damaged to the tub but I haven't tested it with water yet. I think it a good value when it works, I guess it's a bit of gamble.

Totally slipped no matter how hard I hammered it into tub drain. Tried every kind of wrench including torque wrench and it just kept slipping. No bite whatsoever... :-((

What is available for an old 2 inch drain? This won't work on anything larger than 1 1/12 inches.

That tub drain extractor tool teeth did not bite into the drain and it slipped every time. The brass coloured coating even flaked off. A waste of time and money. The metal teeth in the extractor tool need to be harder than the tub drain that it needs to cut into.
