Of course, I love hearing all your opinions too. I'm super busy recently but I'll try my best to reply to all your opinions and comments!

I also made a video about 5 things I love about The Sims 4 too:

Also, when setting relationships you can't create a child and grandparent. Only parents and siblings. How 'bout grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins? Could make for greats gameplay and stories. If I wanted a child and grandmother living together I'd have to create the parents as well and then "send them out to the farm" or arrange "an accident". It's super annoying.

They need a friend option in cas, or adoption in cas would be cool, like you pick a random child to adopt

Out of all my Sims 4 gripes (and I have a lot) the lag is probably the biggest one that annoys me. But I also get frustrated when two sims who live together, and haven't spoken all day, have to greet each other before having a conversation.
Another frustration is the toddlers and how the parents interact with them. I literally had a toddler get stuck trying to grab a plate of food because their mom wanted to check on them. Then she proceeded to pick him up then put him down then pick him up. An endless cycle of frustration while the game was scolding me for not feeding my sims' kid.
As for challenges, I'm here for more challenging game play but I also kind of like the fact that I don't have to try too hard in the sims. Sometimes I just want to speed run a wedding and then stop playing for a few weeks, you know 😊

I like how this is 5 things when most of us can go super high on things we hate.
1. Babies are objects 2. black swatches in cas and build mode are not true black 3. many doors and windows swatches dont match true 4. No cars 5. No open worlds 6. No true hybrids 7. No color wheel 8. Can't build fence on the edge or edit over the lot line 9. No height difference between young adult and teens 10. Depainting of half walls still happens 11. No customization on hair color, like roots etc... sims 3 had 3 choices for the same hair. 12. No pool table, pinball machine, no wall phones, no alarms, no slide for pool, not diving board.... and technically these should all be seperate points lol... and this isnt even scratching the surface of things i hate of sims 4

The lack of challenge really became apparent to me when I got Realm of Magic and wanted my human sim to become a spellcaster...first of all it was super easy barely an inconvenience to find the portal to the magic realm and second of all, after talking to one of the mages, they sent me on a quest to gather 6 glowing stones or whatever, but the stones were all just laying around in plain sight, there was no real challenge or depth to finding them and it took all of like a minute to gather them up and take them back to mage who then immediately transformed my sim into a spellcaster and sent them on their way...it was completely boring and didn't provide any kind of stimulation, I didn't have to think or try to solve anything in order to find the stones and after that, I never bothered with Realm of Magic again...Jungle Adventure at least made finding the temple a little more difficult with the chance cards popping up and then actually finding the treasure within was also a bit more challenging and risky because you could catch on fire or get poisoned in the process and you had to solve a sort of puzzle in order to advance...but it seems they get lazier and lazier with each new pack and I finally ended my 7 year long relationship with Sims 4 just before they released wedding stories, I'm glad I did since that's a broken glitch dumpster fire of a half-assed pack! No excuse for putting out such shitty work!

Sims 2 is my all time favorite of the Sims franchise and I still play it today! At least back when they released packs for it, everything worked properly and they added a lot more game play to it!

Paralives is also looking pretty good about now, I got my Steam account ready to go!

As someone that LOVES the Sims 4... All of these points are totally valid and I feel ALL of them in my bones, lol. This was the first time a video of yours has been recommended to me and I would like to compliment you on your thoughtfulness in the way you make points. I think it's important context that told us that you also recorded the 5 things you like in the Sims 4. Off to watch your other one, too! Thank you for your thoughts :)

i definitely agree about the lack of challenge, especially when it’s so easy to cheat. like why spend hours getting my sims’ needs up when i can just cheat & have them advance in their career? idk, i love the sims 4 but i do get bored of it really quickly and i find that i have to find ways to make it fun, like doing challenges and stuff

it’s also essentially unplayable without at least a few packs, the base game mechanics are so unbelievably boring and it’s become very “pay to win” esque :/

I hate that packs with stuff that need their own lots (Movie hangout, Bowling night etc) don’t have their own lot type. I don’t want to have a bar at my bowling alley or playground equipment in my cinema. And there is no way I can fit a cinema or bowling alley on my 20x20 lot

Also, some bugs I’m having is my dream home decorator modular shelves keep deleting themselves and going into my household inventory whenever I reload the lot, and my sim won’t knit until I click the sofa and select the knit option 2 times, if I don’t click the sofa they walk to a random spot in the house, like their bedroom or the toddlers room, and wave their hands in the air

My biggest issue with the old packs is vacation worlds
I hate that I can't live in salvadorado or granite falls. The only vacation world should be battu now that we have rental/vacation lots. If they don't do anything else I want them to go back and update those things. Also it would be very VERY nice if some of the lakes and oceans in past packs worlds were swimmable, just saying.

One thing I think is annoying is even when someone absolutely HATES you, they'll still come over to your house and act like nothing is wrong. It's really annoying, I'll often just delete the sim with mc command center lol

Everytime I think of a new issue in the Sims 4 you mention it in a video HAHA you got everything spot on. I know mods can fix a lot of these issues especially the traits, the challenge aspect and the sims won't leave me the fk alone aspect BUT I really think if they go back and fix all of their bugs this game would already be way better. (Pls EA I just want to go to a restaurant)

Sims 2 is kinda challenging though, but yeah, definitely the simulation thing on Sims 4 is really really frustrating.

Most annoying for me: having a romantic dinner date in a restaurant, the date sim randomly talking to a stranger sim, the food not arriving and everything is messed up. I hate it so much. I love the things, they are coming up with like the restaurants in general, but pls just do it right, take your time and fix this random stuff that shouldn't be there... 🙄 I love The Sims... Thats just why I want them to do that.

for me the sims 2 had so much relationship depth because of one sided relationships and interests. If one sim loved something and the other hated it, it would be more of a challenge to build friendship between them because they'd have disagreements.

Kinda agree about the lack of challenge, but I think the right approach is not to just make already existing stuff more difficult, but to add more stuff to do. Because the fun kind of challenge for me comes from trying to juggle and balance many things at once. Sure a bit more unpredictability would also do the sims 4 a lot of good

Great video. I agree with everything except maybe with the part of having our sims do things like cheating or getting divorced out of our control. Because personally, I'm one of those players that likes to have control over what happens with my Sims, at least in big things like them getting married, divorced or cheating as it would interrupt my gameplay if those things happened without me making it happen. But this just is my opinion.

I personally don’t like the emotion system on my last gameplay I forced my male sim to cheat on his wife, she caught them, she went to her bedroom which very nice and well decorated (because I got forced to build) and she was just so happy now all of sudden. Since they are doing updates now very often that breaks a lot of mods I decided to just build a save file in my way and bring back game from past games 😂

Ι hate the fact that it take long just to eat.

I feel like there are challenges for me but they are rather infuriating, like trying to feed and clean a child sim when adults randomly drop those tasks and just start doing something else, trying to make them sit on the table and eat together (like for some reason they all sit separately in couches when there is an empty dining table closer to them??) trying to have my sims have a regular sleep schedule... idk, I might be playing it badly but I feel like, when especially playing with families I don't have any time to do fun family activities or even just interactions between the family because it always just takes long to cover the toddler's basic needs and the sleep schedule gets messed up one way or the other. And of course I can use cheats but I don't really want to, I want them to sit and eat together when they are hungry, I want the adults sims to read bedtime story when the child is sleepy... I feel like their needs get low so fast that I can't really keep up with it let alone thinking of doing something else

I wish the game had more spontaneity. The sims just do what I tell them. it's exciting when one of my sims starts a fire or with MCCC an NPC sim in a relationship with my sim can propose to them without me telling them to.
