This actually worked for me. This happened to me on my 3rd 3D print ever. I have almost zero experience with 3D printing. TIp: for complete beginners like myself. Once its fix, & the AMS pulls the filament back, plug it in right away. I didn't plug it back in time, filament came out for about 8 feet trying to find the extruder, but it went right back to the AMS. As soon as it comes back again, plug it, & you will be ok. Thanks again.

Would be great to see you taking photos or short clips of the actual process. Talking about it good, but the best how to videos are usually with step by step photos/video. Just saying

Thanks, Man. Your advice saved me from tearing the extruder apart. Quick, simple, and just the right thing. Thumbs up.

I just bought my first 3D printer, an X-1 Carbon. Never 3D printed anything before, first time everything, and I got this error at 98% on the benchy. You're a life saver!

Just printed with the same marble filament this morning and got the clog with it.
So I got a coffe, sat back and opened YouTube and stumbled upon your video. Your solution helped me out pretty well. Thanks!

Thank you for this video, . only got the printer today and on about my 4th print had this error, checked out the troubleshooting an thought I was in for a strip down. Used your method and managed to pull it out really easy and all back up and running again now. Life saver !

Thanks for the knowledge. I have the same issue and the doesn’t seem to be any consistency. It sometimes does it and sometimes doesn’t with the same filament, and it does it in pretty much every slot of the AMS which makes sense since that’s not the issue. When it gets super frustrating is when your doings a multiple color print and it shuts down the print when you’re not there to baby sit it. I’m definitely not complaining, this printer is light years ahead of anything else I’ve used. I’m sure its like anything else that’s new, will takes some time to work through the kinks. Keep up the good content!

This one works for P1S combo too! Thank you. It was a pain and still is but its still better then disassemble half of all the extruder thing. Thank you again!

Incredible! That x1 had the jaws of death on my filament (my fault for using old filament). Your fix was like a miracle from the gods. Thank you!

Thanks for the advice! Watched another video first and ended up taking my whole AMS apart. Your method was much faster and easier.

I had a jam issue where filament got stuck inside extruder. I took extruder apart and made the hole where the filament goes after the 2 wheels bigger. Best description is the "Hole going into the filament cutter in the extruder" I made the entrance hole to the filament cutter bigger. What used to happen is the filament will get deformed for whatever reason and then you couldn't retract it because it was too big for the hole. Even pulling from the middle like the video suggested didn't work... this worked.

Thank you! My filament was broken beyond the back coupler, but your video gave me the hint I needed (take off the glass top and pull out the tube) to get it resolved.

Thanks so much this just happened to me know and I thought it would be a cancel print and nightmare but your solution worked the first time. Thanks for taking the time out to make the video and help others

Thank you for your solution, but BL needs to look at the root causes of this problem. Overall, I think there is just too much resistance and bends between the length of tube between the AMS to the hot end. I wonder if using some blue Capricorn tubing would provide less resistance.
