The reason GTA SA had a much creepier atmosphere in the forests or in Smoke's Crack Palace is because you never actually saw anything paranormal yet people were saying that they saw ghosts/bigfoot. And this is exactly what made it 10 times creepier. This is the difference between SA's faceless unknown monsters and GTA 5's low quality png cutout ghost

The lack of cheats in recent GTA's is what hurts me the most. I remember playing San Andreas for hours without doing a single mission, just enjoying the pure amazing fun of all the chaos you could create with all of the cheats.

These weathers thing are not exactly true. Right, technically GTA SA has 256 weathers, but most of them are used for interior lighting, "EXTRACOLOURS" are used for interiors too, while "underwater" is an underwater ambience, it's not technically a weather, so it's 20 weathers in total, most of them are very similar. As for the creepy ambience, it's not entirely a GTA V issue, it's an "issue" with newer games in general, older technology is creepier than modern, that's why for example, VHS is frequently used in horror movies, instead of 4K modern video. GTA V looks realistic, so less creepy, when SA tried many different tricks to achieve fog or rain, that wouldn't look like shit, has lower rendering distance, less detailed environment etc., so it's more uncanny with more imagining going in our brain. For the same reason, I think that PS2 horrors were the best

I really liked the vibe of GTA SA. I used to play open world mobile games like Vegas Crime Simulator, Rope Hero etc. but when I played GTA SA, I was amazed to see how advanced this game was (despite knowing that this game was still around 10-12 years old). I was firstly amazed to see how big its map was, how many cars it had, and the fact that it had accessible planes! I spent eternity trying to get into Los Santos International airport and when I finally got to fly a plane, I immediately got 4 star wanted level during my ride.
All these memories, I think I can never make such memories again with any other game as this one was the first "Computer Game" I played.

Gta V without mods will feel boring to play after a while, but GTA SA even without mods have infinite things to do and every cheat code in gta SA has its own fun

Be honest, San Andreas was the best. If they genuinely would've worked on definitive edition, brought back the featured which we couldn't use back in the days due to hardware limitations and not messed up, it would've been simply too good😭

i personally think that the reason GTA:SA is more fun is because the dev doesn't need to put as much thoughts and time towards the graphics, and can spend more on other aspects such as details and whatnots, while GTA:V, being a game in a modern era, dev is more urged to make a beautiful graphics including the animations. the same goes to games like Cyberbug 2077.

Can I also add the fact that in GTA:SA you had around 5 or 6 fighting styles you could choose from and train them? GTA:V only has the basic one.
