Join me for a trauma-informed heart opening yoga flow. This practice is open to all levels and designed to help you release tension in your chest and shoulders at a pace that feels comfortable to you. All cues are only suggestions, listen to what feels good in your body. I encourage you to complete this practice in a space where you feel safe and comfortable.

Thank you for sharing this. I lived in a yoga ashram for 2yrs and never did yoga - was too busy doing music and cooking stuff, and always found the classes too difficult. Trauma informed yoga was an absolute life changer, I think I stumbled on it through somatics reading. The world needs more trauma informed yoga teachers - though I guess also more demand for them. I'll do my best to spread the knowledge at least! Most haven't heard of trauma informed anything!

Firstly, I started crying for absolutely no reason half way through. No reason except the fact that my body wanted me to cry.
I’ve been facing the reality that I’ve been carrying a Lot of deep trauma with me for the last 6 years. That’s resulted in anxiety and thoughts that I’m sick/dying (probably just more severe anxiety)

The last week I struggled A LOT with these thoughts. But after your video I just feel so much better and I am able to breathe normally. I’m actually inspired to incorporate these into my daily life ❤

THIS is the kind of gentle exercise I need in the morning, when my body feels stiff and I'm feeling lightly anxious about how I will feel this day.

this is a lovely practice. your gentle spirit is evident and really makes the way you lead the practice so lovely. i'm going through my first ever breakup and this has brought me a moment of peace - something that is hard to come by presently. so thank you!

Dear Caitlin, I love the amount of options you give. It finally makes it feel okay to listen to my body when my body doesn't want to come out of a certain pose or doesn't feel like such an intense pose. This makes yoga waaaay more relaxing for me, thank you <3

Dear Caitlin, thank you for offering your healing yoga-practice for free on you tube. The deep Yin Energy you are in and bring me in, is so needed, and I see and believe not only for me! I am in a very heavy time of my life, with a lot of psysical and mental problems. I need medication to provide that I really loose my mind, but this yoga practice is one of the things that is REALLY a medicin, because it is healing me inside. Love, Marjelle

I love this video so much. I do this routine at least 3 times a week, which helps me feel grounded and open again.
