I live in Canada and I applied for a housing benefit to help with my high rent. My daughter lives with me and she's on disabililty for her mental health and she applied as well. Between the two of us getting the supplement we only pay $400 between the two of us for a 3 bedroom 1 and 1/2 bathroom condo. This is not a government run building either. It's a high rated building in an expensive area. This help will end in 2029 so we still have a few years grace.

Lamont, I appreciate you taking the time to teach us what's really out there. I'm thinking back to my very first apartment ever it was 215.00 a month sounds crazy right? At that time I worked two jobs.

$850 studio. No AC where Vegas gets really hot.
The only positive thing I can say is it was a beautiful day. 💜

I remember moving to Vegas years ago .I moved for my job .I didn't know the areas of Vegas very well .I lived on Sierra Vista drive .When i told my new boss .He told me you need to move fast .You're living in crack alley . 7 days later going to work a dead person bleeding from the head was on the sidewalk .It was 5 : 30 AM so nobody saw him yet . I called LVMPD . I moved the next day .

A lot of people still wear masks .
One never knows if they may have some kind of issue and they need to take precautions.
Plus in the past month or so, they say that hospitalizations from c19 are really up a lot .
😷
Be nice .

I’ve been living in Vegas for 10 years. My first apts were on charleston blvd for $600 a month. The apts weren’t the nicest but it was nicer than these and very spacious. I’ve since moved to luxury apts at 1600 a month 😅 if you want to live cheap in Vegas, you WILL be living with the crackheads and bums of Vegas. Save your money 😂

It would be perfect for 1 person. Not bad looking. Looks clean, very small but doable for 1 person

Rents in Vegas are crazy now. I lived in those apartments in 1991. I think rent was $300 per month then, and I got 1st month free.

I still wear my Mask but believe it or not it’s not for Covid. During Covid when we had to wear the mask into 2-3 months of doing so I had noticed that I wasn’t having allergy symptoms and my Asthma wasn’t triggered I slept so much better (I still do now)

You should find a place here in Oklahoma. I have a 3 bedroom, 2 living rooms, two full baths, double car garage and a fenced backyard for $900. And it's super nice! University here..

If you can stand the summer heat in Vegas its a starter apt for someone. Or elderly making under $1000/mo Social Security.

Lmao it’s funny seeing so many people talking shit about this place. You can’t even find an apartment for under $1500 where I’m from in northern VA. If you’re on hard times and just trying to make ends meet this will do. A lot of people need to go touch grass.

Lamont, you can buy a home using a U S D A Loan if you aren't paying cash when you are ready to settle down, they WILL cover a home on land, they WILL cover acreage, they WILL cover manufactured homes, they WILL cover set up, U S D A covers areas of like 35 k and less. That's how we bought our home, moved in zero earnest money to the seller, zero down to the lender. Look for things that qualify for 100% financing. My mortgage is less than 500 a month on a three bedroom, two bath single family home on a fixed SSDI income.
