I am surprisingly one of the few people that REALLY appreciate this very much (inflation in my country is beyond insane and currently .. i am very sad and frustrated about "future cost of living and stability".) Thank you for showing a local worlong class standard place. I am fed up with all the condo videos! In 2000 I paid $75 in the city itself, near McCormick Hospital. My new situation Is am looking for a basic 'hong chau'like yours to function as a storeroom & 'crashpad' 3-4 X per year as I will be mostly absent. And security looks very poor at your place. Add a hasp with lock?

Why do you think that's the cheapest apartment in Chiang Mai? How many apartments have you looked at? Have you asked any Burmese construction workers what they pay for rent? I can't imagine them paying more than 500 baht per month for a room like that.
