The Rapture strikes me as a doctrine that could only come from an American (or British noncomformist) perspective where your church is a religious minority & most of your neighbours go to a different church that teaches completely different theology. It doesn't make sense if you belong to an established or mainline church where your neighbours mostly are also members of the same church, although I suppose you could believe it & believe that before the end times the church will start preaching corruption & only those who disobey the corruption & remain faithful will be saved, which probably explain why it's popular in schismatic circles.

I'm not able to agree with the replacement aspect of covenant theology, but other parts are compelling. I'm glad to see you still believe in a redemption of Israel; some go crazy and call them the spawn of Satan or fake Jews and say they're unable to be saved.

I'm an aantisemmite. It's hard reconciling my faith and my beliefs. I wish I could discuss this with someone.

how do you think God saw the sacrifices done by his people in the old testament? i'm really curious, because He said they would atone for sin right? if every single person who was ever saved after Adam was saved by grace (i agree with that) what did those sacrifices acomplished?
