18:00 “If you want car, this is car, and it does a great job at it”

The forward camera turning on when you got close to the barrier is actually a REALLY smart idea. In tight parking lots it would be amazing for all those times where you’re kinda clenching as you pull into a spot.

Toyota hybrids are the only hybrids I will ever even consider looking at. They have absolutely perfected the everyman's hybrid.

I bought a 2025 XSE AWD back in late October, I do tons of traveling for business and have put about 15k miles on it so far and would 100% recommend the car. Fantastic highway cruiser

I just bought mine almost two weeks ago now. XSE/FWD, Heavy Metal with the red interior, Black Toyota Emblems, and I just got my windows tinted 5% all around. I'M IN LOVE!!!!

22:20 final comment, also agree. At 80 and being that quiet is kind of shocking. Usually pov videos like this have a little extra noise than reality since the camera is better at picking up on certain engine tones, but that was genuinely impressive. Quieter than a lot of luxury cars I’ve seen in these videos.

Camry’s always been a rock solid car, nothing too crazy but it doesn’t try to me more than what it is, $45K is a bit pricey but the fuel economy is also a big plus with these cars. My dad has a slightly older one and he loves it, dead reliable and great fuel economy.

Finally, they made some nice looking infotainment system instead of TV sticking out of the dashboard

Toyota's manual says EV mode is for slow cruising (less than 20mph) for scenarios like driving through a parking lot or area where you want to be quiet. When I was living just down the road from my office, I was able to use EV mode to slowly cruise down the back roads to the office without the engine kicking in at all.

I have a 2002 Prius with the navi package, and I can tell you that Toyota has ALWAYS done great hybrid systems. Despite having a 13-second 0-60, the instant torque means it never feels dangerously slow, acceleration is Lexus smooth (especially up hills where a traditional automatic would be hunting for gears, the hybrid drive just smoothly revs up) and I'm getting high 30s/low 40s MPG in winter with the heat on. I even still use the OEM navigation, and it's still useful in 2024!

Cant belive we live in an era where people say 232 horsepower isn't a lot, haha. Thats more power than most V6's from the 90s and early 2000s. Man, my 1995 camry had like 140 horsepower. Got the job done though.

19:09 agreed, I feel the same way about my Ioniq Hybrid. It’s the first time I’ve owned a car where my thought process towards a new car is 95% based on “does my car still run?” And before anyone replies to this and says “ooooh but Hyundai It’s been bulletproof for the 3 years I’ve owned it so far, and I still have 2 more years of bumper to bumper if something does go wrong, and it’s fully built in Korea and doesn’t have a Theta II engine, meaning it avoids all the usual Hyundai pitfalls.

I had this exact car except FWD. Best car I've ever owned. I had to trade it because I actually had a need for a truck. But I wish I still had it because it is quite literally the perfect daily driver. The JBL is probably the best of any Toyota product. Never had any issue with panel rattles or anything for mine. Definitely picking this one over the base models of Lexus ES.

Never thought id want to own a camry. Especially at 25. But damn, the pep, handling, and features makes this too good an option to pass up.

I simply love the Toyota Camry in that it's imo the perfect all-around car with some compromises here and there. You get the modern style that looks good every time, fantastic mileage, legendary maintenance in that you basically don't ever need to worry about it, a good amount of spacing around the comfy seats, and it's not a "luxury" car in that people wouldn't necessarily target it for theft and if you have wealth people won't think twice that you would have it driving that car so it's a nice low profile.
